Watch This: Behind-the-Scenes of The Sorcerer's Apprentice

The Sorcerer's Apprentice Behind-the-Scenes

Okay, for a Disney family movie, you've gotta admit that The Sorcerer's Apprentice looks pretty frickin' badass. Disney has just debuted a fun behind-the-scenes featurette called "Good vs Evil" that has plenty of new footage, interviews with Nic Cage, Jay Baruchel, Alfred Molina, Jon Turteltaub and Jerry Bruckheimer, and much more. It looks like the effects are getting closer to finished and we finally get to see a lot more cool stuff, since up until now they've only really shown a few scenes, even in the trailers. Anyway, check this out and put The Sorcerer's Apprentice down as one movie you definitely need to see this summer. Watch below!

Bruce Willis Starring in Antoine Fuqua's New Film The Tomb

Bruce Willis

How many projects is Antoine Fuqua attached to?! Deadline is reporting that Summit Entertainment is in "early talks" with good ole Bruce Willis to star in a new prison escape thriller called The Tomb that might be directed by Antoine Fuqua (of The Replacement Killers, Training Day, Tears of the Sun, King Arthur, Shooter, Brooklyn's Finest). Summit wants to "fast track" the film, so maybe this will usurp Fuqua's other projects like Prisoners, Consent to Kill, Miss: Better Living Through Crime or the Gregory Scarpa Project. The good news is that the concept of The Tomb is actually pretty awesome, so I'll bite this time. Read on!

DC Rumblings: Flash, Wonder Woman, Aquaman in the Works

The Flash

We've heard this before, but it's always good to hear it mentioned again. Warner Bros chairman and CEO Barry Meyer appeared at Time Warner's "investor day" in New York City today (via Heat Vision) for a brief presentation on the upcoming Warner Bros' slate. In addition to mentioning lots of what we already know, including that Sherlock Holmes 2 will be released in December 2011 next year, he apparently dropped a few big names on the DC Comics DC Entertainment side of things that are coming up. Specifically, Meyer said that they were "nearing" a greenlight on The Flash movie based on the speedy superhero. But that's not all!

Casting Tidbits: Jason Sudeikis, Cary Elwes, Tim Blake Nelson

Jason Sudeikis, Cary Elwes, Tim Blake Nelson

Tina, you fat lard, come get some Casting Tidbits! First up, Risky Biz reports that "Saturday Night Live" star Jason Sudeikis in the Seth Gordon (Four Christmases) directed comedy Horrible Bosses. Sudeikis joins Charlie Day and Jason Bateman as the last of a trio of friends who conspire to kill each others' bosses. Colin Farrell and Jennifer Aniston have already been cast as two of the three targeted bosses; Aniston will play a sexually aggressive dentist and Farrell will play a weaselly recipient of his father's business after his death. Jamie Foxx is also in this as some kind of obscenely named scam artist helping the guys plot their murders.

Disney's Alice in Wonderland Passing $1 Billion at Box Office

Alice in Wonderland

Whoa! As of May 27th, Disney's Alice in Wonderland has officially become the sixth movie in cinema history to ever make over $1 billion in the global box office. The only other movies that have achieved that kind of success (in order starting at #1) are: Avatar, Titanic, Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, and The Dark Knight. This is a bit of surprise to me because I stopped following Alice in Wonderland's box office and I didn't even realize it was coming this close to breaking any records. I'm considerably impressed and I guess Johnny Depp really did help this become a record breaker.

Watch This: Epic TV Spot for Shyamalan's The Last Airbender!

The Last Airbender TV Spot

If you've been watching shows like "American Idol" or "Glee", you've probably already seen this spot, but for everyone who hasn't seen it yet, here you go. Paramount recently debuted this epic new TV spot for M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender to build some extra hype these last few weeks. The last trailer we ran in April already had me completely sold on seeing this, but TV spots like this only confirm further that this is probably going to be totally awesome. I've heard some people still complaining about Shyamalan, but I think this will show that he's more than capable of handling epic fantasies, not only thrillers. Check it out!

Film4 Showing Some 'Skins' with Adaptation of UK TV Series

Skins

If you think there isn't high school drama on the big screen, then fear no more as Deadline reports Film4 is developing a feature film adaptation of the UK TV series Skins. However, unlike most of the garbage that comes from ABC Family and the CW, this series is not without plenty of praise and has been the launching pad for more than a few young actors like Nicholas Hoult (A Single Man), Dev Patel (Slumdog Millionaire) and Kaya Scodelario (Wuthering Heights). If you're unfamiliar with "Skins," it's kind of like "DeGrassi" but without all that Canadian style and with more eroticism. Apparently British teens are just that much sexier.

Awesome New TV Spot for Sly Stallone's The Expendables Hits

The Expendables TV Spot

Anyone watch UFC? If you do, you'll see this TV spot during the upcoming fight between Quintin "Rampage" Jackson (aka B.A. Baracus from The A-Team) and Rashad Evans. Our friends over at Ain't It Cool News have debuted a new TV spot for Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables, the badass ensemble action movie which really doesn't need any more of an introduction at this point. They've also debuted a badass promo banner, the "Legends" banner, which I've added a smaller version of below. We've already seen the trailer, so I think Lionsgate is just trying to build enough hype to last through the summer. I'm still very excited to see this.

Burr Steers Directing the 'Emperor' Young Caesar Adaptation

Emperor - Burr Steers

It was only a couple of weeks ago that it was announced that producers Gianni Nunnari and Mark Canton, along with Exclusive Media Group, would be bringing an adaptation of Conn Iggulden's Emperor series of novels to the big screen. Deadline now says that they've found a director for at least the first Emperor book - Burr Steers. Who is he? He got his debut with Igby Goes Down in 2002 but recently directed 17 Again and is working on the other Zac Efron film Charlie St. Cloud as we speak. So does that mean this is going to star Zac Efron as a young Julius Ceaser? As for Steers' interest, he's always wanted to make a movie like this.

Confirmed: Tommy Lee Jones Joins Marvel's Captain America

Tommy Lee Jones

Just last month we reported on the sudden rumor that Tommy Lee Jones might have a role in Captain America: The First Avenger. Now it looks like we have the best official confirmation we can get short of an actual press release from Marvel as ComicBookMovie (via Collider) talked with Hayley Atwell (who plays Cap's love interest Peggy Carter) and she confirmed that Jones will indeed be in the flick. However, she didn't tell them exactly what role he'll be playing, but many have speculated that Jones will take on the role of General Chester Phillips, the man who picks Steve Rogers to take part in the Super Soldier program.

Shortlist for Spider-Man: Josh Hutcherson, Jamie Bell & More

Spider-Man Candidates

With screenwriter Alvin Sargent putting the finishing touches on the reboot of the Spider-Man franchise from director Marc Webb (500 Days of Summer), the casting process to find the new webslinger is in full swing (see what I did?) and Heat Vision has the latest on the shortlist for some of the fine young actors in the running. From the age range of the actors it's clear Webb is going for a younger actor to take on a Peter Parker that will be in high school dealing with knowledge that his uncle died even though he had the power to stop it. That and his DNA has transformed to give him spider-like abilities. So who is in the running?
