Brody, Shelton & Knudsen Join Scream 4, Graham Drops Out

Scream 4 Casting

Fresh meat for the grinder. Although they already started principal photography this week, the cast is just coming together now. Heat Vision reports Adam Brody, Marley Shelton and Erik Knudsen ("Jericho") have joined the cast of Scream 4. Brody plays a recent college graduate who's a cop; Shelton plays a deputy who knew Neve Campbell's character in high school, which Lake Bell had been cast in until she dropped out; and Knudsen plays a horror movie convention nerd who's the comic relief. In related news, SlashFilm says that Lauren Graham has also dropped out of Scream 4, leaving her role as Emma Roberts' mother vacant.

Cinemark Pulls Paranormal Activity 2 Trailer Over Complaints

Paranormal Activity 2 - Banned

This is either a big surprise or a brilliant marketing tactic. Variety says that movie theater chain Cinemark, based out of Plano, Texas, has pulled the Paranormal Activity 2 trailer from "several theaters" in Texas after receiving numerous complaints from moviegoers that the trailer was "too frightening." Did any of our readers think this trailer was too scary to see in theaters, or without a red band label in front of it? The trailer has been playing in front of Summit's The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, which opened today, and probably explains why there were even any complaints to begin with. But will this maybe help them build more buzz?

Classic Encom Arcade Games Viral Postcards Being Delivered

ArcWars Encom

When I picked up my mail today I found a rather peculiar postcard for a video game called ArcWars. Upon closer inspection, I notice that there was an Encom logo at the bottom and the phrase "Now Playing at Your Local Arcade." It looks like the Tron Legacy viral is back in action! The back of the postcard is postmarked from Flynn Lives in San Diego and contains a little description of the ArcWars game and an ominous black bar. It turns out that black bar contains another viral clue that only shows up under blacklight (more below). I've heard that numerous fans have been receiving these postcards today and there's a total of four of them.

Judd Apatow Developing New Pee-Wee Herman Feature Film

Pee-Wee Herman

Yep, he's back. Variety is reporting that comedic powerhouse producer Judd Apatow is developing a new currently untitled Pee-wee Herman feature film for Universal. Paul Reubens is co-writing the script with Paul Rust ("The Very Funny Show") and Apatow will produce through his Apatow Productions banner, but he will not direct. You may remember that Reubens let slip last December that he had a full-on Pee-Wee's Playhouse: The Movie movie ready to go, but this is the first we've heard about it since then. At least they're making some major progress. "Let's face it, the world needs more Pee-wee Herman," Apatow told Variety.

Video Blog: Universal Studio's King Kong 360 3-D Experience

King Kong 360 3D Experience

Yesterday morning I attended a big press event for the grand opening of Universal Studios brand new King Kong 360 3-D experience that's a part of the tram ride at that theme park. I'm a big fan of theme parks and have visited most of them in Orlando and California, so I'm familiar with all of the great movie-themed rides and was honestly excited to see Peter Jackson creating this brand new, innovative attraction at Universal Studios involving King Kong. It's being marketed as the "world's largest" and "most intense" 3-D experience ever, but is it actually that? Having now "ridden" it I can tell you that it's sadly not even worth experiencing.

Universal Remaking Russian Flying Car Movie Black Lightning

Black Lightning

Some of you may remember hearing about this Russian sci-fi action movie called Black Lightning before, about a flying Volga. Essentially it's being called the Russian response to Transformers and Batman and it actually looks pretty cool (watch the trailer here). Although that movie was originally produced by Wanted director Timur Bekmambetov, Variety reports that Universal is "in talks" with Timur to direct an English language remake of Black Lightning. The film made roughly $20 million in its run in Russia last year, which is apparently impressive, but I think Universal is hoping there is a wider appeal beyond just that country.

Watch: Second Sappy Trailer for Zac Efron's Charlie St. Cloud

Charlie St. Cloud Trailer

It's Twilight week which means not only is that movie (probably) going to set some new box office records, but all the other studios are going to make sure they get their movies marketed to the crowds that will be out in droves this weekend. Universal has debuted a second new trailer for Charlie St. Cloud, the sappy, sad romantic drama starring Zac Efron based on Ben Sherwood's novel. I actually prefer the first trailer on this one, as this just feels like they're overselling the intimate moments and telling pretty much the whole story in the trailer. Plus, the music choices in this aren't great either. But if you're still interested, check this out.

First Look Photos: Aguilera & Cher in Steven Antin's Burlesque

Burlesque First Look

Singer Christina Aguilera decided to make her debut as an actor in a musical comedy called Burlesque from filmmaker Steven Antin. The cast was filled with the likes of Cher, Kristen Bell, Cam Gigandet, Stanley Tucci and Alan Cumming, and it's aiming to hit theaters in November. USA Today published a first look at Burlesque with new photos. "People think burlesque shows are rooted in some overtly sexual striptease with G-strings and pasties," Antin says. "But originally it was parody entertainment... that was provocative, funny and always based in comedy. That's not to say [Burlesque] isn't really sexy... But it's PG-13 sexy." Read on!

Check This Out: Official 'Going the Distance' Poster Unveiled

Nanette Burstein's Going the Distance

Warner Bros has unveiled the official poster for Going the Distance today, starring Drew Barrymore and Justin Long, directed by Nanette Burstein and written by Geoff LaTulippe. Although I wasn't that impressed with the official trailer, I actually kind of like this poster, there's a perfect mood to it that fits the themes of the movie quite well. It's bright, it's flirty, it will get couples in to see this for a date night in August when it hits theaters. Good job on the design, Warner Bros! Now I just hope the movie is as good as this looks, or at least just a good movie in general. Anyone else looking forward to this or is everyone a bit worried about it?

Josh Hutcherson Cast as Spider-Man, Villain May Be Lizard?

Josh Hutcherson / Spider-Man

There's a very big rumor going around today that actor Josh Hutcherson has fully landed the role of Peter Parker in Marc Webb's Spider-Man reboot. The news comes from Blue Sky Disney, which seems a bit odd, but they state: "word from my Bothans is that Sony has settled on Journey to the Center of the Earth's Josh Hutcherson as the newly, high school bound Peter Parker." Apparently the execs "decided that Hutcherson was the right fit for the role and an offer was made and has been accepted." Can we believe that or is still too early to tell? Blue Sky usually has solid Disney scoops, but I'm not sure if I'm totally sold on this. Read on!

Watch This: Third New 60 Second Trailer for The Expendables

The Expendables Trailer

The only life they've known is war. The only loyalty they have is to each other. They are the Expendables. Don't forget that as this summer movie season starts to come to an end this August, there will still be a few awesome movies worth checking out, like this one. Lionsgate has debuted a brand new 60-second trailer for Sly Stallone's The Expendables and it still looks as badass as it did in the first trailer. At least this trailer is a lot better than the last one that didn't even have any footage in it, although they're seriously overselling the Willis and Schwarzenegger cameos. I think there's actually a lot more to this we haven't seen yet. Enjoy!

Casting Bits: Ashley Greene, Peter Sarsgaard & Teresa Palmer

Ashley Greene, Peter Sarsgaard, Teresa Palmer

Well, um, actually a pretty nice little Saturday, we're going to go to Home Depot. Yeah, buy some wallpaper, maybe get some flooring, stuff like that. Maybe Bed, Bath, & Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time. First up, Deadline reports Ashley Greene (The Twilight Saga) will star along Miley Cyrus in LOL. Greene will play Cyrus' nemesis in the remake of the 2009 French film Laughing Out Loud. The story follows a mother, Anne, and daughter, Lola who begin bonding after Lola's mom "accidentally" reads her teenage daughter's racy journal, and realizes just how wide their communication gap has grown.
