International Trailer for Julia Roberts' Drama 'Eat Pray Love'

Eat Pray Love Trailer

This looks good, I mean really good. Sony has released an international trailer (found on SlashFilm) for the upcoming Julia Roberts drama Eat Pray Love, which was based on Elizabeth Gilbert's bestselling memoir. The first official trailer came out back in March and although this isn't made for US audiences (at least from a marketing standpoint), I still think it does a great job of selling a great looking film. I think this might be a surprise hit late in the summer, but I don't know, depends on if the buzz continues to grow, at least from the female demographic. Not everyone will be into this, but check out the new trailer below if you're interested!

Judd Apatow Producing, Leslie Mann to Star in 'Business Trip'

Judd Apatow & Leslie Mann

Ah yes, Hollywood, the land of nepotism. Deadline is reporting that production company BenderSpink has looped in comedy mastermind Judd Apatow to produce their newest comedy Business Trip. Announced last year (via Variety), is setup at Universal and being pitched as The Hangover but with women. The script, written by Stacey Harman, is about a group of women go on a corporate trip but wind up doing anything but business while on company time. That sounds more like a pitch for a porn movie. Deadline also says that, of course, Apatow's wife Leslie Mann is already set to star, because there's no Apatow movie that she's not in.

Must Watch: Second Teaser for Anton Corbijn's The American

The American Trailer

Focus Features has quietly debuted a second new teaser trailer on IMDb (found via Awards Daily) for their upcoming Anton Corbijn directed thriller The American starring George Clooney as a hitman on his last assignment in Italy. This trailer is a lot more fast-paced, intense, and action-packed than the first teaser that debuted in May. However, I'm wondering why there is so much shooting if it's supposedly his last mission, but I guess we'll find out eventually. I'm looking forward to this because it's Corbijn and Clooney, I just hope it's a great movie, not just another forgettable hitman flick. So check it out and let us know what you think?

First Look: Official Photos of Johnny Depp in The Rum Diary

Johnny Depp in The Rum Diary

Well, these may not be official official photos, but these are actual stills from the movie, not just some shots of Depp taken by paparazzi while on set down in Puerto Rico. These two photos from Bruce Robinson's The Rum Diary were found on FilmTotaal.nl and are pretty cool to see. We've been hearing about this since the production started coming together a few years ago and we had heard a rumor that it might show in Cannes, but it never did, not even in the marketplace. So although it's great to see Depp in a role that doesn't involve heavy make-up, we have no clue when this is coming to theaters. Anyway, check out these two photos below!

Watch: Second Full Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D Trailer is Out!

Resident Evil: Afterlife Trailer

This hit earlier in the week, but it was a low res version of the trailer, so I've been waiting for a nice, clean HD version to show up. IGN has debuted the second official trailer for Resident Evil: Afterlife starring Milla Jovovich, Ali Larter, Sienna Guillory and Wentworth Miller, and a whole lot of nasty zombies. Maybe it's because I'm not a fan of this franchise, but this entire trailer looks like Paul W.S. Anderson watched the Matrix movies and said "I wish I could do that" and then went and totally ripped off every single shot and put it into a super-cheesy Resident Evil movie (the fourth one!). But this was made for the fans, so enjoy!

Benjamin Walker Joins X-Men: First Class, Fassbender In Too

Benjamin Walker

We heard earlier this month that Michael Fassbender (of Inglourious Basterds & Fish Tank) was being considered for roles in not one, but two superhero franchises. In addition to being courted for a turn as the villain in the Spider-Man reboot, Fox was also very interested in having Fassbender take on the role of Erik Lensherr, the mutant who comes to be known as Magneto, in X-Men: First Class. Well, now Deadline and Entertainment Weekly confirm that he's negotiating to join X-Men, and Showbiz 411 is reporting Benjamin Walker (Flags of our Fathers) will join the cast, but rumors of his supposed character may not be all true.

Alexander Skarsgard Lands a Lead Role in the Battleship Movie

Alexander Skarsgard

Although he didn't end up in Marvel's Thor, Swedish actor Alexander Skarsgard has booked a lead role in another big movie. Heat Vision reports that Skarsgard, son of actor Stellan Skarsgard, has signed on to star in Universal's Battleship movie, based on the Hasbro board game and being directed by Peter Berg (The Rundown, The Kingdom, Hancock). Skarsgard will star as a "straight and narrow" naval officer whom Taylor Kitsch, who has cast in this a few months ago, idolizes (military hierarchy at play). This is Skarsgard's first major studio role since starring in True Blood and, as long as everything goes to plan, it should be big.

Don Cheadle and Freida Pinto Offered Roles in Rise of the Apes

Don Cheadle & Freida Pinto

This cast is shaping quite nicely. We already know that James Franco will star in Fox's Planet of the Apes: Rise of the Apes prequel that Rupert Wyatt is directing this summer up in Vancouver. But besides Franco, no other cast members have been announced yet, although we do know they'll be using Weta to create CGI apes instead of using men in suits. Bloody-Disgusting, of all places, is reporting that offers have been made (read: they're not signed yet) to actors Don Cheadle (last seen in Iron Man 2) and Freida Pinto (last seen in Slumdog Millionaire) for roles in the movie. But as of now, it's unconfirmed if these two will be joining.

Watch: Hilary Swank & Sam Rockwell in the Conviction Trailer

Conviction Trailer

Now this is a film I haven't actually heard of before today, but it looks good. Apple has debuted the official trailer for Tony Goldwyn's Conviction, a new Fox Searchlight dramatic legal thriller, based on a true story, starring Hilary Swank and Sam Rockwell. It looks like a very intense drama about, well, how screwed up and corrupt our legal system can be, as Swank tries to free her wrongfully imprisoned brother. I don't know if Swank or Rockwell may be awards contenders for this, but it's definitely a possibility. It looks pretty good, a little heavy-handed, but I'll probably catch it in the fall. Take a look below and let us know what you think?

Worthington to Face-Off Against Chris Pine in This Means War

Chris Pine / Sam Worthington

After initially hearing that Bradley Cooper was taking on one of the lead roles in McG's action comedy This Means War, his schedule involving filming The Hangover sequel meant he had to drop out. But then came word that actors Chris Pine and Seth Rogen were being pursued for one of the same lead roles in the movie that pits two best friends and veteran spies against each other when they both fall for the same girl (Reese Witherspoon). Now Vulture reports that Pine has fully signed on as one of the dueling spies, and an offer is out to Sam Worthington to play the other friend-turned-enemy in this project with an 11 year history.
