Watch: Awesome E3 Trailer for Tron: Evolution Video Game!
Yep, it's E3 week, which means we'll probably be featuring some video game trailers. This one should appeal to movie fans, primarily because it's a video game based on the upcoming Tron Legacy movie. The game is called Tron: Evolution and was developed by Propaganda Games and Disney Interactive Studio. The best part is that I can't tell if this is footage from the game or the movie, but I think it's just a gorgeous cinematic made to introduce you to the program character you are in the game (or do you play as Sam Flynn?). If the action in the movie is as good (or better) than it is in this trailer, we're in for an amazing experience. Enjoy!

Hanks, Berry, McAvoy, & McKellen Lined Up for 'Cloud Atlas'
Early last year, we talked with director Tom Tykwer who revealed in our interview that he was working on an adaptation of David Mitchell's Cloud Atlas that the Wackowskis were producing. Since then we haven't heard much about it and Tykwer has gone on to direct an indie called Three. But now The Playlist says that in the latest Production Weekly there's a new listing for Cloud Atlas that says it's moving forward with quite a cast: Tom Hanks, Halle Berry, James McAvoy, Ian McKellen and Natalie Portman. None of this has been confirmed yet, but it could be possible that these five are in, however only offers are out to them.

Rumor: David Yates Up for Directing New 'Fables' Adaptation?
Although he's still got at least a year of post-production left on the final two Harry Potter movies, director David Yates has been making headlines this week with some major potential directing gigs that he's lining up following completing work on the Potter series next year. The first rumor was The Hobbit, but now Pajiba is reporting that they've heard that Yates is "up" to direct an adaptation of a Bill Willingham's graphic novel series Fables as well. Apparently he's even in the "early stages of development" on it, but it's still a rumor and unconfirmed. And besides that, there was once an ABC mini-series in development that could conflict.

Watch: Official Teaser Trailer for Sony's CG The Smurfs Movie
This arrived a little earlier than we expected, but it's here now nonetheless so check it out. Sony has debuted the official teaser trailer for their new CGI The Smurfs movie featuring the voices of a whole hell of a lot of people. Neil Patrick Harris, who plays Johan in the movie, introduces this teaser, and boy does it set quite a precedent. I now know we're going to be seeing increasingly more and more of this "Smurf'd" and "Smurf This" and "Smurf That" stuff for the next... 14 months until this hits theaters. Yes, The Smurfs doesn't even arrive in theaters until August 2011. It's a long wait, but will it be worth it? It's up to you to decide. Enjoy!

Joss Whedon's Cabin in the Woods is Another MGM Casualty?
Aw man! I guess it was inevitable that we'd hear sooner or later about every MGM movie in production. The Playlist found a mention in a Hollywood Reporter article today about MGM's search for a new CEO stating that another highly anticipated MGM movie may be shelved for the time being. This time it's Joss Whedon's The Cabin in the Woods, a contemporary twist on the horror/thriller genre directed by Cloverfield writer Drew Goddard. If you remember, the film is actually entirely shot and done, but MGM delayed it for a full year to convert it to 3D. In fact, it should've already been released by now, but instead it's getting shelved.

Sony Already 'Kicking Ideas Around' For a Karate Kid Sequel
Of course they are! If you didn't already hear, Sony's The Karate Kid remake with Jaden Smith and Jackie Chan earned an impressive $56 million this past weekend, blowing past its $40 million budget and raking in some good earnings on its opening weekend. There's no question that Sony is already thinking about sequels (though it's now confirmed by Deadline and EW.com), because let's not forget that the original Karate Kid had not just one, but three extra sequels, the last one arriving in 1994 with Hilary Swank taking over as the new student. I just really hope we don't see three increasingly-worse sequels for this new Karate Kid as well.

Watch This: Luke Wilson in the Official Trailer for Middle Men
Paramount Vantage has debuted the official trailer for George Gallo's Middle Men over on Apple, a movie I'm sure most of you haven't heard about yet. Middle Men stars Luke Wilson, Giovanni Ribisi, James Caan, Kelsey Grammer, and many others, and is about the guy (or guys) who were some of the first to invent the payment system for internet porn in it's early days. It actually looks pretty damn good, not only quite funny, but quite entertaining as well, so I suggest checking out the trailer. Its got a strong cast and very interesting story and looks like it'll be a very solid film. So without any further ado, fire up the trailer for Middle Men!

Doug Liman May Direct WB's 'All You Need Is Kill' Adaptation
Now this could be cool. Both Deadline and Heat Vision are reporting tonight that director Doug Liman, of Swingers, Go, The Bourne Identity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Jumper, and Fair Game previously, may be Warner Bros' top choice to direct an intense new action sci-fi project called All You Need Is Kill, based on Hiroshi Sakurazaka's novel. Liman was working on WB's Three Musketeers project as well (designed to be gritty like Sherlock Holmes), but since Paul W.S. Anderson is in production on his version of The Three Musketeers, WB has put their version on the backburner and Liman is considering other films, like this one. Read on!

First Look: Official Reveal & First Photo of Sony's CGI Smurfs
We've seen a few different leaked photos before, but the first official studio-approved photo for Sony's The Smurfs movie has finally hit the web courtesy of USA Today. Seen above is our first look at Grouchy, Papa and Clumsy Smurf, voiced by George Lopez, Jonathan Winters and Anton Yelchin (respectively). The first trailer for this will hit on Thursday, in the meantime watch it here, this is all we've got. Oh and if you haven't seen the photos of Hank Azaria as Gargamel in New York City, check those out here, they're quite awesome as well. Interestingly, this isn't a exciting of an unveiling as I thought it would be. What do you guys think?

Disney Tosses Bruckheimer's WWII Project 'Killing Rommel'
Bad news for Jerry Bruckheimer (or maybe it's good?). Deadline is reporting that Disney has decided to "jettison" a project that Bruckheimer had been developing for a few years. Back in 2008 it was announced that he had secured the rights to adapt a World War II novel called Killing Rommel, by Steven Pressfield, about a daring attempt by a British battalion to capture and thwart German Field Marshal Erwin Rommel's desert campaign. This decision was made by new Disney chief Rich Ross because "it didn't fit the studio's family-friendly franchise mandate." Well hell, move it somewhere else, this sounds like it'll be awesome!

Watch: Full Trailer for Zack Snyder's Legend of the Guardians!
Warner Bros has debuted the full-length theatrical trailer for Zack Snyder's Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole (the full title) on Yahoo and it's frickin' epic. Okay, we've seen the teaser for this, so we know what it's all about, but I'm still pretty excited to see it. I just love how epic and beautiful this all looks, it seems like it'll be truly enjoyable and above all just plain fun to watch. And it's almost like, this is the Lord of the Rings-style epic (with family friendly owls) that we'll get to watch to hold us over until The Hobbit finally moves forward. Anyway, I'm speaking pretty highly of this, but it really is awesome. Enjoy!
