Check These Out: Gorgeous 'True Romance' Tribute Art Prints
Any fans of Tony Scott's True Romance out there? Written by Quentin Tarantino and starring Christian Slater, Patricia Arquette, Dennis Hopper, Val Kilmer, Gary Oldman, Christopher Walken, Samuel Jackson, Michael Rapaport, and even Brad Pitt, True Romance is quite a beloved cult classic. I recently received an email with a link to these three posters created by graphic designer Derek Gabryszak that are part of a special tribute series to True Romance. Derek made three different fine art prints inspired by the film and iconic imagery from it. They're quite gorgeous and if you're a True Romance fan, you'll certainly love these.

Review: Jonah Hex is Derailed & Disfigured by Awful Editing
Chopped up. Scarred. Disfigured until the original can no longer be identified. No, I'm not referring to the face of the character Jonah Hex. I'm referring to the movie Jonah Hex, the latest adaptation of a DC Comic. What may have started out as a decent western actioner complete with stylish scenes of explosive action and non-stop violence has most assuredly been whittled down to near nothing, a sad example of a film that borders on the unwatchable.
What we can gather from what's left of the film intact, the story follows Hex, played by Josh Brolin, a former

Sorcerer's Apprentice Video: 'Fantasia: The Coolest Scene Ever'
This is probably one of the coolest featurettes we'll see for The Sorcerer's Apprentice because it finally explores the origin of this entire concept by going back to the classic Mickey Mouse apprentice seen from Fantasia! The video is called "Fantasia: The Coolest Scene Ever" and is totally as epic as that sounds. While this summer hasn't been that incredible so far, this is one movie I am seriously looking forward to in July. It just looks so frickin' cool, all that magic and cool sh*t happening to them, it just looks like it'll be a blast. And their Fantasia scene looks good, too. Do yourself a favor and check this out - you won't regret it!

Rumor: District 9's Neill Blomkamp Might Direct 'The Hobbit'
This is indeed only a rumor for now, but the more I think about it, the more I feel like it could actually be true. An article popped up on TheOneRing.net yesterday proposing the possibility that District 9 director Neill Blomkamp might be directing The Hobbit in place of Guillermo del Toro. First, don't forget that District 9 was a Peter Jackson production and Blomkamp has worked with him for years. In addition, TOR has been receiving tips and hints pointing towards Blomkamp, including a breakdown for the movie "which included who the director is: Neil Bloomkamp [sic]." Maybe we'll see a big announcement at Comic-Con?

Imogen Poots Cast as Female Lead in the Fright Night Remake
Another pretty face getting her breakout Hollywood role. British actress Imogen Poots (seen in 28 Weeks Later, Cracks, Solitary Man, Centurion) has been officially cast (confirmed via Heat Vision) as the female lead in DreamWorks' remake of the 1985 vampire comedy Fright Night. Poots joins Anton Yelchin, Colin Farrell, Toni Collette, David Tennant and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. The movie centers on a teen (Yelchin) convinced that his new neighbor is a vampire. Michael De Luca and Alison R. Rosenzweig are producing, Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl) is directing, and shooting starts this summer down in New Mexico.

Sound Off: Pixar's Toy Story 3 - So What Did You Think of It?
Now that you've seen it, what did you think? The year was 1995, no one had never seen a full-length CGI animated movie before, but that was about to change. Now, some 15 years later, Pixar returns with Toy Story 3, another sequel in their most popular franchise following Toy Story 2 in 1999. Is it as incredible as every other Pixar movie to date? Is it a wonderful conclusion to the series or just another pointless sequel? How was the story and how are all of the new characters (all 300 of them)? And most importantly, did you cry at the end? If you've seen it, leave a comment and let us know what you thought of Pixar's Toy Story 3!

David Fincher's 'The Social Network' Official Poster Unveiled
Bold marketing going on here - the tagline is the poster! So where is the title? It's along the side, as part of a sidebar that looks like the header from Facebook. Notice anything similar? That's an image I made for our posts about this project last year, but I digress. Sony has debuted the official poster for David Fincher's The Social Network, also known as the Facebook movie, about the co-founder of that social networking site, Mark Zuckerberg, as played by Jesse Eisenberg, seen on the poster. As usual, this probably means the trailer is hitting soon (in July!), so stick around to see it. In the meantime, check out the first official poster below.

WB Picks Up Ernie Cline's New Geek Novel 'Ready Player One'
Another great original concept. Yesterday, writer Ernest "Ernie" Cline sold the rights to his debut novel to Random House for around $500K. A movie deal was sure to follow and it definitely did. Both AICN and Deadline report that Warner Bros won the bidding war that started up yesterday for Cline's new book titled Ready Player One. The book is a cyber thriller that Harry Knowles called "the most awesome 80's geek novel ever written" even though it's set in the future. Green Lantern producer Donald De Line negotiated the sale and will be producing for Warner. Cline will also be writing the first few drafts of the screenplay.

Sound Off: Warner Bros' Jonah Hex Movie - Your Thoughts?
Now that you've seen it, what did you think? Hitting theaters this weekend is another new DC Comics adaptation, Jonah Hex, about the gunslinging anti-hero bounty hunter. It was directed by Horton Hears a Who! director Jimmy Hayward and stars Josh Brolin, Megan Fox, John Malkovich, Will Arnett and Michael Fassbender. Jonah Hex currently has 14% on Rotten Tomatoes, but is it really that bad? Is there anything redeeming about it or is it just a bad movie from start to finish? How was Josh Brolin as Jonah Hex or John Malkovich? Good at all? If you've seen it, leave a comment and let us know what you thought of Jonah Hex!

New TV Spots for Last Airbender & Explore the Nations Videos
With only two weeks left until Shyamalan's The Last Airbender hits theaters, Paramount's marketing is going through the roof. A whole bunch of TV spots have been hitting pretty much everywhere you look. I've included two must watch TV spots below that just look fantastic and there's another that you can check out here. Besides that, SlashFilm found four "Explore the Nation" videos of which I've featured two of, for the Fire Nation and the Air Temple, below. The nation videos are pretty bland, just CGI fly-throughs, but if you want to see the rest you can here. There's a lot of awesome Last Airbender content out right now, so enjoy!

Stuart Beattie's Tomorrow: When the War Began Full Trailer
"It's time to go to war." Well, since we won't be getting MGM's Red Dawn, we'll just have to stick with this. A new full-length trailer for Stuart Beattie's Tomorrow: When the War Began, based on the popular Australian novels, just debuted on the official Facebook page. We were one of the first to feature the teaser trailer for this back in March but this is the trailer you must see. I know there are a lot of fans who have read the novels and love them and from what I can tell, this looks to be a pretty damn good adaptation. Yea it's a little cheesy, but I'm fine with that. And damn does it get epic near the end. I actually can't wait to see this!

Fox Adds Saturday Sneak Peeks of Knight & Day to Build Buzz
What are you plans tomorrow night at around 7:30? 20th Century Fox has added sneak peek screenings in 494 theaters nationwide this Saturday night at around 7 o'clock for the upcoming Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz action comedy Knight & Day (watch the trailer). LA Times blog Company Town says that they made the decision to add the sneaks because they're worried that it "could flop, [so] the studio is making a last attempt to get moviegoers excited about Knight and Day by showing it to them early." Interesting strategy, but then again, my theater was nearly sold out (but I got a ticket!) so maybe people are excited to see this?
