Gorgeous Olly Moss Posters from the 2010 Rolling Roadshow

2010 Rolling Roadshow - There Will Be Blood

Wow. The latest edition of the Alamo Drafthouse Rolling Roadshow kicks off next week with 10 different events and 12 movies. As a promo for the 2010 Rolling Roadshow Tour (via We Made This), the Drafthouse commissioned artist Olly Moss (official website) to design gorgeous new posters for each of the movies. Its become a big trend recently to design posters for classic movies in minimalistic ways, but these are some of the best designs I've seen, I love them all. Moss made posters for: Jackie Brown, Dirty Harry, There Will Be Blood, Convoy, The Blues Brothers, Robocop, Rocky I - III, On the Waterfront and The Godfather: Part II.

Comic-Con 2010: Final Round-Up of Another Fantastic Year!

Comic-Con 2010 - Tron Legacy Booth

Another Comic-Con come and gone, but another unforgettable year it was. Mainly because there's not much going on this Saturday (it's so much quieter!), I wanted to provide you guys with one final recap of all of our coverage of Comic-Con 2010, from our live blogs and coverage of the panels, to a few interviews and some viral events, to poster and photo reveals, and lots more. This year I brought both Ethan and Tim and the two helped provide all this great coverage, which you can find below (including Tim's Golden Briefcase episode). I also want to say that Tron Legacy (photo above) stole the show again and was my highlight of this year.

Check This Out: Full US Poster for Gaspar Noé's Enter the Void

Gaspar Noé's Enter the Void Poster

Oh yes, don't forget - Gaspar Noé's Enter the Void is coming. This drug tripping, sex-filled, wild ride of a movie is French filmmaker Gaspar Noé's follow-up to the also-controversial Irreversible. IFC Films, who is releasing in the US, has debuted the final US version of the official poster (seen below) which is the same kind of trippy imagery we've seen for Enter the Void for years. I actually saw this at the Cannes Film Festival in 2009, the full 2-hour, 45-minute version, and it was way too pretentious, lengthy, and just trippy, to even appreciate, but I will say it's a bold film. Check out the full poster below plus additional release info as well.

Chris Meledandri Revisiting Curious George for More Mischief

Curious George

If the traditionally animated version of Curious George released a few years back didn't tickle your fancy, you'll have another chance to see the famous literary monkey cause more mischief coming soon. 24 Frames reports Illumination Entertainment, the company created by Chris Meledandri (former Fox Animation President and producer of films like Ice Age and Despicable Me) is developing another computer animated adaptation of the famous book series. The film will apparently feature the same "wry animated images" from Despicable Me, but with a completely new story featuring George and The Man in the Yellow Hat yet again.

Review: 'Get Low' Has Robert Duvall, But Not Too Much Else

Aaron Schneider's Get Low

This review originally ran on WeAreMovieGeeks.com during the 2010 Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. This is a re-posting in honor of the film's limited release this weekend. Visit the film's official website.

The long list of deeply and realistically flawed characters legendary actor Robert Duvall has portrayed now has one, more name added to it. Felix Bush, the character at the center of Get Low, has a mystery about him, a deep-seeded kernel down within that drives him away from civilization and towards the backwoods of 1930's Tennessee.

Review: 'Charlie St. Cloud' - One Efron Away From Being Awful

Charlie St. Cloud Review

"Trust your heart if the seas catch fire, live by love though the stars walk backward." As we learn from the titular and ghost-seeing character in the new film, Charlie St. Cloud, this quote from poet E.E. Cummings is about taking chances. It couldn't literally be about stars walking backward. That's just silly. Chances. The act of stepping outside your boundaries and doing something far from your own comfort zone, almost reckless even, that may be met with absolute success or outright failure.

Unfortunately, the people behind Charlie St. Cloud may be looking for stars to walk backward or seas to

Lee Daniels Might Direct 'The Butler' Instead of 'Selma' Next

Lee Daniels

Though there have been numerous casting updates for Lee Daniels' civil rights drama Selma throughout the year, apparently getting financing for the film has proven to be a bit of a challenge. However Deadline is reporting that Daniels has just closed a deal with Sony Pictures to re-write and direct The Butler, a drama which tells the story of Eugene Allen, a servant in the White House who worked through eight presidents from Harry S. Truman to Ronald Reagan. But if the full financing for Selma doesn't come through soon, this new project may be Daniels' next and he's already been talking to Denzel Washington about starring in it.

Liam Neeson No Longer Attached to Spielberg's Lincoln Biopic

Liam Neeson / Abraham Lincoln

For years now it's been assumed that sometime down the road Steven Spielberg would finally get around to directing Lincoln, a biopic with Liam Neeson playing Honest Abe. Whenever it's mentioned, Neeson's name comes right along with the news. Well, despite the fact that Spielberg assured us earlier this year that his Lincoln-centric film would still see the light of day, it looks like it won't have Neeson as the president anymore. Digital Spy reports (via The Playlist) that Neeson is no longer attached to the film. The actor said, "I'm not actually playing Lincoln now. I was attached to it for a while, but it's now I'm past my sell-by date."

New 'Voyage of the Dawn Treader' Poster Journeys Out to Sea

Voyage of the Dawn Treader - Reepicheep

In addition to that gloriously posed photo of Reepicheep (now voiced by Simon Pegg!) above, Narnia Fans has also unveiled a fairly epic teaser poster for The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader that I thought was worth featuring. The first full trailer for Voyage of the Dawn Treader debuted back in June and looked quite good, I have to say. But I'm not the biggest Narnia fan and I'm worried about this being any good, since the first two weren't my favorites. Despite the rather shabby CGI on the poster, I like that they're going big and bold with this. I'm hoping they can find the right audiences for it. Take a look!

Is Guillermo del Toro Involved with Legendary's Paradise Lost?

El Guerrero

Another Comic-Con secret slowing making its way out? Legendary Pictures seems to have been doing some sneaky viral marketing for their upcoming projects. Not only did they give out those Godzilla shirts (and that movie doesn't even have a director yet), but our own Ethan got a shirt from the Legendary booth with a giant beanstalk going up the middle and a tiny Jack climbing up it (with Bryan Singer's signature on the back - for Jack the Giant Killer). Now another new shirt has been found on ComingSoon this time with artwork of a conquistador called El Guerrero (seen below) and Guillermo del Toro's signature on the back.

Must Watch: Official Trailer for Sundance Sensation 'Catfish'

Catfish Trailer

Don't let anyone tell you what it is... That's the new tagline and it's appropriate because if anyone ruins this indie flick for you, it just won't be the same (and that's an important part of the experience). Rogue Pictures has debuted the first official trailer for Catfish, a Sundance documentary that became a huge sensation for its riveting storytelling and controversial nature. I saw it at Sundance and loved it, but have been curious to see how they would market it, since it's a tough film to put out there and they can't reveal too much without ruining it. I think they did a good job, I just hope this actually gets a few of you interested in it. Thoughts?
