Must Watch: First Full Trailer for Fincher's The Social Network
It's here, it's finally here! No more audio only, we finally have footage. Sony Pictures has premiered the full theatrical trailer (via Yahoo) for David Fincher's The Social Network, the Facebook movie starring Jesse Eisenberg as Mark Zuckerberg. I know this is going to get a lot of flack, but I think this looks Oscar caliber, but I expected nothing less from David Fincher. I really loved this entire trailer, the music choice, the story and its progression, the atmosphere, its message, it's such a beautiful way of teasing a movie. I have a good feeling The Social Network is going to be a highlight of 2010, this really does look incredible. Watch below!

First Official Look Revealed: Ryan Reynolds as Green Lantern
It was only discovered yesterday that the official reveal of the costume from Green Lantern would be on the cover of "next week's" issue of Entertainment Weekly. Before it could even hit stands, EW has decided to unveil the photo early, although it's not very high resolution. So below you will see Ryan Reynolds as Hal Jordan in his CGI costume from Green Lantern. "Will and imagination are his superpowers," Reynolds says. “We need a circus of Timothy Learys to think of things Hal would invent with his ring." I'm sure many, many of you are going to have something to say about this, so let's get it all over with and let the discussion begin!

Casting Tidbits: Andy Samberg, Jeremy Piven and Julie Bowen
Jason Bourne is dead, you hear me? He drowned two weeks ago. You're gonna go tell 'em that Jason Bourne is dead, you understand? I swear to God, if I even feel somebody behind me, there is no measure to how fast and how hard I will bring Casting Tidbits to your doorstep. First, a whole slew of actors are coming together as The Wrap reports Andy Samberg, Richard Jenkins, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone, Patricia Clarkson and Jenna Elfman will join Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake in the romantic comedy Friends With Benefits. This should not be confused with Ivan Reitman's new comedy (formerly of the same title).

David Gordon Green's Suspiria Remake Moving Forward Soon
We've been hearing intermittent optimistic updates about director David Gordon Green's (Pineapple Express, Snow Angels) gestating remake of Dario Argento's 1977 horror classic Suspiria. The project was first announced back in 2008 and last September we heard that the film was supposed to be shooting this year. Well we're about halfway through the year and we haven't heard any new details until now. Bad Taste (via Twitch) has now discovered that Argento has officially released the remake rights to his film and the producer, Marco Morabito, confirms that Green will finally be able to shoot the flick sometime next year.

Intense New US Trailer for Stuart Hazeldine's Thriller 'Exam'
So has anyone figured out the answer yet? IFC Films recently debuted the new official US trailer for Stuart Hazeldine's stuck-in-one-room thriller Exam. You may remember seeing a trailer for this late last year, as that was the official British trailer we featured at the time which was also pretty damn cool. The concept in this is that eight candidates for a "prestigious job at a mysterious corporation" are brought into a room and given a blank exam paper and told to answer the question to pass the test. Ah but what is the question? This gives a way a lot in the footage, so you've been warned before, but I still really, really want to see it. Enjoy!

Sound Off: Disney's The Sorcerer's Apprentice - Your Thoughts?
Now that you've seen it, what did you think? Arriving in theaters everywhere today is Disney's huge summer blockbuster, The Sorcerer's Apprentice, an imaginative live-action interpretation of the classic Mickey Mouse Sorcerer's Apprentice scene from Disney's Fantasia. It's directed by Jon Turtletaub, stars Nicolas Cage and Jay Baruchel, and is produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. How does it live up to the last few live-action Disney fantasy movies? Is it a good summer popcorn flick or just mediocre? How was wacky Nic Cage? If you've seen it, leave us a comment and let us know what you thought of The Sorcerer's Apprentice!

Elizabeth Banks Set to Star as Disney's Live-Action Tinkerbell
Step aside Mae Whitman, it's time for Elizabeth Banks to grow wings and become all glittery. Variety announces that Disney is developing a new Tinkerbell live-action romantic comedy called Tink that has Elizabeth Banks set to star and Adam Shankman (Hairspray, 82nd Academy Awards), Jennifer Gibgot (17 Again, Step Up 3-D, The Last Song) and McG producing. What an eclectic bunch, Shankman being the only one like. The concept was developed by Banks at her own production company with Max Handelman, as well as Matt Smith, and is being written by Elizabeth Wright Shapiro. This sounds like it might be fun!

Super Creepy Evidence Bag for 'Let Me In' Arrives in the Mail
With Comic-Con coming up, a teaser poster, and international trailer, we know Overture Films has started marketing for Matt Reeves' Let Me In, the revamp of Let the Right One In. Overture did a very kick-ass job marketing The Crazies with a big viral event, and it looks like they're following the same path for Let Me In. A mysterious box arrived from an address in Los Alamos, NM on my doorstep today containing an evidence bag with a nasty, blood-covered funnel inside. Call the cops? No, it's actually an awesome bit of viral swag for Let Me in. If you've seen LTROI, you'll remember that scene in the forest where they drained blood out.

Watch: Hans Zimmer Performs Inception Score at its Premiere
In an epic publicity stunt, legendary composer Hans Zimmer teamed up with guitarist Johnny Marr (of The Smiths) for a live performance of the score from Inception during the big glitzy, glamorous red carpet premiere held in Los Angeles last night for Christopher Nolan's new movie. I can personally attest to the fact that Zimmer's score for Inception, like all his scores for Nolan, is absolutely phenomenal and this would've been amazing to watch in person. That said, it was recorded live last night and our friends at In Contention found a playback video of the stream for your viewing/listening pleasure. Damn I love this score so much!

TIFF Picks a Hockey Musical to Open Fest, Watch Trailer Below
Two months out from kicking off, the Toronto International Film Festival announced earlier today the opening film of the 35th edition of the popular fall festival. The film that will headline the fest is a - get this - hockey musical (the first of its kind?) called Score: A Hockey Musical featuring Olivia Newton-John and Nelly Furtado. The coming-of-age movie portrays a sheltered 17-year-old, played by newcomer Noah Reid, going "from zero to hero" on the ice in a matter of weeks. THR describes it as "Glee with sticks and skates as hockey players croon while slapping a puck round an ice rink." Um I personally think that sounds incredible.

Will Smith Producing Biopic on Explorer Dr. S. Allen Counter
Though the spotlight will be shining bright on Will Smith when he returns to the big screen with Men in Black 3, that doesn't mean Smith isn't busy behind the scenes with his own production company Overbrook Entertainment. As a matter of fact, following up his role as producer on his son's breakout movie The Karate Kid, Variety reports that Smith is developing a biopic of Dr. S. Allen Counter, a modern-day explorer and African-American neuroscience professor. While it seems like this could be a good opportunity for Smith to stretch his dramatic acting muscles again, he's only attached as a producer. No director is attached either.

'I'm Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix' Coming Soon
We've already heard Casey Affleck talk rather seriously about his "documentary" following actor Joaquin Phoenix's fall from grace as he pursued a career in rapping and a makeshift aviary on his face. Now it looks like audiences will be able to see the supposed craziness themselves as Deadline reports Magnolia Pictures has acquired I'm Still Here: The Lost Year of Joaquin Phoenix with the intention of giving the film a limited release on September 10th followed by a wide release the following week. While many distributors were simply confused by the film, Magnolia's president Eamonn Bowles is confident it'll draw an audience.
