Must Watch: Awesome Full Trailer for Ryan Reynolds' Buried!
On the eve of Comic-Con, Lionsgate has decided to debut the official full-length trailer for Rodrigo Cortés' Buried, starring Ryan Reynolds (and only Ryan Reynolds) as an contractor buried in a coffin. Because the entire movie takes place inside of the coffin, Lionsgate had to be very creative with this trailer, because they don't want to show too much of it since there's only so much that's in the movie anyway. That said, I think this is a perfect trailer to tease audiences and provide a sense of the intensity of Buried, which I can say will probably end up as one of my favorite movies of the year. Definitely watch this trailer, it's worth it!

Norton & DeNiro in Theatrical Trailer for John Curran's Stone
Overture Films has released the first official trailer for the dramatic thriller Stone starring Edward Norton, Robert DeNiro and Milla Jovovich. In this trailer it's clear that Norton is continuing on his pattern of wholly unique and defined characters completely different than previous roles. It's a bit reminiscent of Sean Penn's turn in Dead Man Walking, but here, Norton has to contend with DeNiro who is still a mighty presence on screen. Jovovich spices it up a bit for a thriller that looks tense and even quite erotic. Director John Curran has shown a knack for isolated dramas like We Don't Live Here Anymore, so this should be very interesting.

Rumor: Karl Urban is the Law in the New Judge Dredd Movie?
Last year we learned Sunshine writer Alex Garland was taking a crack at a new adaptation of the futuristic comic book Judge Dredd. Then a couple months ago it was announced that Pete Travis (of Vantage Point) would be sitting in the director's chair, plus that we'd see the comic book coming to life in 3D no less. Now Bleeding Cool has apparently found out who may be stepping into the shoes once filled by Sylvester Stallone in the universe where law enforcement officers are given the power to act as judge, jury and executioner to dish out justice. Karl Urban (Star Trek, Lord of the Rings) may just be the man who will become the law.

Zack Snyder Fully Intends to Direct Xerxes, Reveals Plot Details
For the past six months we've had intermittent updates on Frank Miller's prequel to his epic graphic novel 300. Titled Xerxes, the story focuses on The Battle of Marathon in 490 BC during the first Persian invasion of Greece which was fought between the citizens of Athens and a Persian force commanded by both Datis & Artaphernes. We also heard that Zack Snyder was optimistically waiting for Miller to finish the novel and already presuming to direct the project. Now Hero Complex is reporting that Snyder has definitely declared intent to direct the film which is currently being written, however the studio hasn't made an official deal yet.

Must Watch: John Wells' The Company Men Theatrical Trailer
The Weinstein Company has unveiled the theatrical trailer for The Company Men, the incredibly bleak corporate-downsizing drama written/directed by John Wells. The film stars a bevy of great actors, lead by Ben Affleck, Kevin Costner, Tommy Lee Jones, Chris Cooper, Maria Bello and Rosemarie DeWitt. I saw this at Sundance and really enjoyed it, despite being quite bleak and depressing. Brandon reviewed it and gave it 9 out of 10. This trailer definitely stays away from the bleaker side of things, but it's a fantastic trailer, I love the music and build up. I really hope this gets a few of you to see it. And ohhh Rosemarie DeWitt, love her!

Check This Out: First Don't Be Afraid of the Dark Teaser Poster
Otherwise known as Guillermo del Toro's Don't Be Afraid of the Dark. CHUD has premiered the teaser poster for the horror/thriller remake starring Katie Holmes, Guy Pearce and Bailee Madison (the little girl). It's another one of those hand-drawn artistic teaser posters because it's a Comic-Con exclusive that is being given out at the show this weekend. There is a big panel for Don't Be Afraid of the Dark on Friday afternoon at Comic-Con and I'm sure we'll get to see an actual trailer for it then, so stay tuned for even more coverage. I'm not the biggest fan of this poster, but it is a pretty damn cool bit of artwork for this thriller. Check it out!

As the showfloor has not yet opened, we have something special to hold you over until Bob grapples with celebrities and fornicates with babes all night at his Ramada Inn room. We are pleased to present the Bob $tencil performance of "Comic-Con (I Think There's Gunna Be Some Long Lines)." Truly a spectacular and unforgettable concert. Enjoy!

Inception Aftermath: Theories, Thoughts, Oscar Buzz & More
To put a final cap on our two-year coverage of Christopher Nolan's Inception, I wanted highlight a few of my favorite articles found around the web discussing different theories, explanations, and so much more related to Nolan's mind-bending action movie. One reason I absolutely love Inception is that it inspires such an immense amount of intellectual discussion, and there are a lot of great articles that I wanted to point out in that realm, for the sake of anyone looking to delve further into that discussion on Inception. Since there's so much out there, I thought I'd highlight the best pieces to read. So without further ado, let's dive right in!

Another New Earth-Based Photo from Kenneth Branagh's Thor
A bunch of new photos for Marvel's Thor have been hitting over the last week, including the very heavily debated first look at "The Gods". Over at USA Today, they've published their own Thor Comic-Con preview with another new never-before-seen photo of Chris Hemsworth attempting to pull the hammer Mjolnir out of some base. "If you can impress Comic-Con fans, you're in the big leagues," Marvel's Kevin Feige told the paper. This is pretty damn cool to see, but I'm still looking forward to checking out the footage. "I think the trick (to winning over fans) is to love the material as much as they do," added Jon Favreau. Thoughts?

Steve Coogan Set to Sail Again in 'Cruise of the Gods' Remake
Though I've enjoyed many British comedy driven films like Shaun of the Dead, In The Loop and Death at a Funeral (not the urban remake from Chris Rock) somehow the fanboy fueled film Cruise of the Gods has slipped through my fingers. The comedy followed a fan cruise in honor of a fictitious science-fiction series and the clashes amongst the cast when they reunite several decades after the series went off the air. Steve Coogan (Hamlet 2) played one of the stars who has since become more successful than the others and now 24 Frames reports he will reprise his role in a new remake of the film currently titled The Great Beyond.
