Seith Mann Helming 'Miss: Better Living Through Crime' Film
It was first announced last year that Spike Lee would producing an adaptation of a gritty, noir graphic novel called Miss: Better Living Through Crime that Antoine Fuqua would direct. But in the last year, Fuqua has attached himself to a handful of other projects, so it makes sense that Heat Vision is now reporting that another director is taking over the project. Seith Mann, a TV director who has worked on shows like "The Wire" and "Fringe," will write and direct Miss: Better Living Through Crime as his feature debut. Spike Lee is still executive producing, but Hicham Benkirane will come on as producer via Vigilante Entertainment.

First Look: Photo of Bridges & Steinfeld in the Coen's True Grit
Westerns aren't a popular genre anymore, but one western that I'm sure will be the talk of the town when it hits theaters is True Grit, the Coen Brothers' remake of the 1969 John Wayne western (or more accurately a re-adaptation of Charles Portis' novel). The cast includes the likes of Matt Damon, Josh Brolin and Barry Pepper, but the two true leads are Jeff Bridges as Marshal Cogburn and 14-year-old Hailee Steinfeld as Mattie, that the Coens went on a casting search to find. A photo of the two originally appeared in EW a week ago, but SlashFilm has a nice, clean high res version for your viewing pleasure and a first look at True Grit.

For Your Oscar Consideration: Piranha 3D - With Video, Too!
The Weinstein Company's horror remake Piranha 3D, directed by Alexandre Aja, finally lands in theaters this weekend. As a last bit of crazy promotion for the movie, TWC has whipped up a video called "Piranha 3D: For Your Consideration" that has been unveiled on Funny or Die. Basically they said, well, Piranha 3D is leading all of the other main categories, so why not offer it up for things like Best Penis Being Gobbled and Spit Out in 3D. So this solidifies "why" Piranha 3D is the front-runner and should be considered as a contender with Inception and others. Yea, it's all a big joke (or so I hope?), but it's still pretty funny. Enjoy!

J.J. Abrams Developing a Spooky '7 Minutes in Heaven' Project
I know what you're thinking - a 7 Minutes in Heaven movie, like the classic teenage game where you put two people in a closet and let them go at it? Yes, but there is a twist (of course!). To me, J.J. Abrams is the new M. Night Shyamalan - he's a fantastic filmmaker, has a great visual eye, and he comes up with awesome ideas. This is another great idea. The details on the project first leaked in a story on The Wrap this evening, but now Heat Vision has separately confirmed that Bad Robot and "Lost" director Jack Bender, who came up with the original idea for this, are developing this project 7 Minutes in Heaven. Read on for the twist!

Watch: Official Trailer Debut for Wes Craven's 'My Soul to Take'
Are you ready for a glimpse at Wes Craven's new "signature villain"? Yahoo has debuted the trailer for My Soul to Take, Craven's next horror movie before Scream 4 that stars Max Thieriot and a bunch of other teen actors. I wanted this to be good, and look good, but it really feels like a punk rock horror movie aimed squarely at teenagers and that's it. Though we don't get a solid look at the villain, it seems like they just hired Rob Zombie to chase people around in scraggly clothes and long hair, but maybe he's more menacing than he looks in this trailer. Then again, this kind of horror is not my thing, so maybe I'm being too harsh.

January Jones is Now Officially Cast as Emma Frost in X-Men
Wow, sorry for the confusion! Deadline is reporting tonight (and Fox has confirmed with us) that January Jones will be starring in Matthew Vaughn's upcoming X-Men: First Class as Emma Frost, the "gorgeous mutant with telepathic powers." The confusion is that we all thought Alice Eve, of She's Out of My League, had landed that exact role months ago, but apparently "no deal was concluded" with Eve and so the hot (in more ways than one) "Mad Men" star is taking on the role as the White Queen instead. In addition to Jones, actress Zoe Kravitz has been cast to play Angel (maybe they mean Storm instead?) in X-Men: First Class.

Must Watch: Darren Aronofsky's 'Black Swan' Official Trailer!
Whoa. This looks incredible, you must watch. Even if you hate ballet or dance, this is one of those trailers you just have to see. Apple has debuted the official trailer for Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan starring Natalie Portman, Mila Kunis and Vincent Cassel. I was expecting great things from Aronofsky but this looks even better than I was initially hoping, I have to be completely honest. Plus it also gives us a little taste of the "supernatural" elements that the movie contains, since we've heard that there is some. I've said enough though, you just need to watch and enjoy. And yes, I think that's some of Clint Mansell's new score. Enjoy!

Casting Bits: Robert De Niro, Brooklyn Decker, Max Von Sydow
A Wangdoodle would eat ten of them for breakfast and think nothing of it. So, I said, "Come and live with me in peace and safety, away from all the Wangdoodles, and Hornswogglers, and Snozzwangers, and rotten Casting Tidbits. First, Variety reports Robert De Niro is joining the cast of Manual of Love 3, the third installment of an Italian romantic comedy franchise from director Giovanni Veronesi. Each film has a few different episodes (kind of like Paris, je t'aime) telling varying romantic stories. De Niro (who will partially speak Italian) will play a divorced American professor living in Rome in one of the episodes within the film.

Watch: Another New Trailer for Zwick's Love and Other Drugs
It was only a few days ago that we featured the first official trailer for 20th Century Fox's romantic comedy Love and Other Drugs starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Anne Hathaway. I wasn't totally impressed by that trailer and the footage in it, but another new trailer has appeared online today (via Awards Daily) which you can watch and give a second shot. The story is all the same - basically a viagra salesman falls in love with the woman of his dreams - but there's a lot more emotion in this than that other trailer. I've been hearing some others say that Gyllenhaal and Hathaway have Oscar potential, but I'm not really sure. What do you think?

Check This Out: Second New Poster for Ben Affleck's The Town
This is what I'm talkin' about! Empire has debuted another new international poster for Ben Affleck's crime drama The Town that is a huge improvement over the domestic poster released last week. Yes, this one has more "floating heads" but they're arranged in a slick way and I love the imagery underneath a lot more this time. I like talking about this movie because it's one of my most anticipated and I hope we can keep building buzz for it. Despite his otherwise interesting career, I think Affleck is a talented filmmaker and I'm looking forward to seeing how he did with this new crime drama. It's out in theaters in only a few more weeks, too!

Watch This: Second Full Trailer for Gareth Edwards' Monsters
This is not like District 9. It has no similarities to District 9 at all. But it's as good as District 9. Just wanted to get that out of the way. Magnet has debuted the second trailer for Gareth Edwards' incredible low-budget alien sci-fi film Monsters on Apple. It's a tough movie to sell, and they're really overhyping the action, but it's not actually an action flick. The story is actually about these two people, the characters and what they go through, not the action and aliens killing people and so on. That said, it's a brilliant film and still one of my top suggestions to see. Just make sure you don't go in expecting something like D9. Check out the trailer!
