Casting Bits: Ethan Hawke, Christina Hendricks & Ving Rhames
Ok, this is me, planting an idea in your mind. I say: don't think about casting. What are you thinking about? Casting Tidbits? Right, but it's not your idea. The dreamer can always remember the genesis of the idea. True inspiration is impossible to fake. First, Variety reports Ethan Hawke (Daybreakers, Training Day) has signed on to star in A Late Quartet, which follows a musical group whose members have performed together for 25 years who must adjust to one of them retiring due to Parkinson's disease. Yaron Zilberman is directing from a script co-written with Seth Grossman. Don't count on any "world's smallest violin" jokes.

Cillian Murphy Cast in 'I'm.mortal' with Timberlake & Seyfried
After living in Chris Nolan's dream world in this summer's runaway hit Inception, Heat Vision says Cillian Murphy will next be living forever in the sci-fi drama I'm.mortal. Andrew Niccol (Gattaca, Lord of War) is directing with Amanda Seyfried and Justin Timberlake already signed on to star in this story set in the future when the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, and the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. And with this, Murphy continues his trend of choosing unique and interesting roles.

Brilliant Viral Postcard for 'Let Me In' Sent from New Mexico!
I totally love this viral marketing. It's just awesome. It's not a game that leads to anywhere or anything, but the little hints they're dropping along the way are just brilliant. Perfectly creepy, yet fitting for the film, and a great way to get me (and hopefully you guys) more excited for this. I received a postcard over the weekend sent from Los Alamos, New Mexico, which just so happens to be where Matt Reeves' Let Me In takes place. The card is hand written by, what looks to be, a 12-year-old kid (which is awesome that they even did that) and contains a morse code message. It's a bit long but some other sites who have already deciphered it.

Indie Trailer Sunday: Vincent Cassel in 'Mesrine: Killer Instinct'
Now this looks awesome! Today's trailer is for a French film called Mesrine: Killer Instinct, starring one of my favorite French actors, Vincent Cassel, as France's Public Enemy Number 1 - Jacques Mesrine. Most may not know who Mesrine was - a French gangster who robbed 32 banks and escaped from 4 high security prisons, which earned him that "Public Enemy N°1" title. There are some beautiful shots in this trailer, and as always Cassel looks like he delivers an impeccable performance. At least good enough to win the "French Oscar" for Best Actor. Plus, it's being called the "French Scarface", so you know its got to be good. Enjoy!

Watch: First TV Spot for Ben Affleck's Crime Film 'The Town'
They're already running TV spots for this? I guess it does arrive in the next month. The first TV spot for Ben Affleck's The Town, his upcoming Boston-set crime drama, has been uploaded to YouTube for your viewing pleasure. Yes, this still looks a bit like Heat, but I don't care, I really want to see it, I've got faith in Affleck as a filmmaker, and I think it looks damn good. The cast alone has me sold - Jeremy Renner, Jon Hamm, Ben Affleck, Rebecca Hall, Chris Cooper - all in a big love-triangle-ish crime movie? Awesome. I still prefer the trailer but this is a good teaser for the movie that will hopefully keep your interest piqued until its released.

Matthew Vaughn Thinks Superhero Movies Will Die Out Soon?
They will? Okay, maybe not soon, but sometime in the near future, or so he claims. Geoff Boucher of Hero Complex recently published an article with new quotes from director Matthew Vaughn, who is currently hard at work on pre-production for X-Men: First Class, due out next summer. Vaughn said some rather interesting things about the inevitable (right?) decline of the comic book/superhero movie genre: "It's been mined to death and in some cases the quality control is not what it's supposed to be," Vaughn said. "People are just going to get bored of it." That may actually be true, but how soon will we actually see that happen?

James Cameron Delivers Updates on Avatar 2 and Re-Release
Yep, James Cameron and Avatar are back in the news again, but don't get too upset because it's honestly been a while since we last talked about him or his biggest movie ever. The man himself, "Jimmy C" as I like to call him, recently talked with MarketSaw and gave them a lot of updates. First, he confirmed that he is producing Guillermo del Toro's At the Mountains of Madness (announced a few weeks ago) and that they'll shoot it in native 3D using next generation 3D cameras. He also confirmed that there's 9 extra minutes in the Avatar re-release at the end of the month and he's still working on the script for Avatar 2. Read on!

Brutal New Full-Length Trailer for 'I Spit on Your Grave' Horror
Anchor Bay Films has debuted a new full-length official trailer on Yahoo today for their upcoming horror remake I Spit on Your Grave starring hottie Sarah Butler. We actually already featured the ass-centric poster for the film a few weeks ago, but I wasn't really that interested in it at the time. However, this new trailer gives us an incredibly brutal, intense look at just how crazy this horror remake will be. I'm not sure I'm any more interested now, but I'm definitely way more aware of the film, and I expect a few of you might just be sold by this trailer. Don't forget, they're releasing this "unrated" this fall, so it will be very intense!

Watch: Stallone Goes Crazy in a YouTube Expendables Video
As we're down to the last week before The Expendables hits theaters, Lionsgate is focusing on making the marketing really hit with a "bang" to get you guys in theaters next weekend to watch Sly and his badass team of mercenaries kick some ass. Last week we featured a behind-the-scenes featurette that most of you seemed to love, so I wanted to also feature this crazy YouTube promo they're doing where right in the middle of an interview, Stallone breaks out a rocket launcher and blows up the entire page. It's actually pretty damn cool, especially to see him interacting with the site. It is not embeddable, so you have to click on the photo below!

Check This Out: Simon Bisley's Badass Comic Centurion Poster
I'm featuring this today more because it's awesome artwork more than anything. Neil Marshall's Centurion is already available via video-on-demand (you can watch it now!) and will be hitting limited theaters as well. Magnolia debuted another new poster for Centurion that's drawn by renowned British comic artist Simon Bisley featuring the film's main characters played by Michael Fassbender and Olga Kurylenko. It's actually a very badass poster and I hope the movies lives up to it. I still haven't seen it yet (watch the trailer), but I'm going to try and catch it soon. Has anyone else seen it? If you have, what did you think? Check it out below!

Tony Scott Set to Direct Adaptation of Mark Millar's 'Nemesis'
Ah, Mark Millar is back in the news again. After Warren Ellis joked at Comic-Con about how "you never write a graphic novel thinking about making it a movie," specifically naming Millar, the comic book writer is back with another big adaptation with a few big names from Hollywood attached. Deadline and Bleeing Cool report that 20th Century Fox has acquired the big screen rights to Millar's graphic novel Nemesis and has attached Tony Scott (who has been in the news a lot recently) to direct with Scott Free developing as well. Nemesis was published in March by Marvel's Icon Comics imprint with Steven McNiven doing the art in it.

First Look: James Franco in Danny Boyle's Newest '127 Hours'
Earlier today, Fox Searchlight finally debuted (in EW) the first photo (or two) of James Franco as climber Aron Ralston in Danny Boyle's newest film 127 Hours. We've been talking about this film a lot over the last year as it's not only Boyle's follow-up to Slumdog Millionaire, but it's another one of those one-man-show kind of tense thrillers. Ralston (Franco) was the climber who had to cut off the lower part of his right arm by himself with a dull knife in order to free himself from being pinned by a boulder in a Utah canyon. The title refers to the amount of time he was stuck. Boyle still calls it "an action movie where the hero can't move."
