Watch: New Trailer for 'Tamara Drewe' with Gemma Arterton

Tamara Drewe Trailer

Anyone getting a bit tired of Gemma Arterton yet? No, no, no, she's way too pretty for that to happen! Yahoo has debuted the trailer for Stephen Frears' Tamara Drewe, a British comedy starring Gemma Arterton based on a comic strip in the UK. I unfortunately missed this at Cannes even though I heard it was a funny, entertaining comedy. It looks pretty good, something that any writers out there will definitely get a kick out of. Plus, I don't think many people would turn down watching a kinky Gemma Arterton screwing the whole village, right? Anyway, I'm sure I've said enough to get you to watch this new trailer, so check it out below!

Review: Lazy & Hollow 'Takers' is a Patchwork of Stolen Ideas

Takers Reviews

Heat. True Romance. The Italian Job. District B13. All are fine films in their own right. They are also all films that get heavily ripped off by Takers, a new film about bank robbers, the cops who try to track them down, and the empty, empty world they all apparently live in. A film without character or substance, it is forced time and time again to fall back on its style for something, anything to shine through the murky waters created by all the derivation. Not even that is slick or fresh enough, and the explosion caused by all

'I Love You Phillip Morris' Finally Hitting Theaters in December

I Love You Phillip Morris

After premiering at the Sundance Film Festival back in 2009, the Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor led drama I Love You Phillip Morris has struggled for a year and a half since to find a US distributor while running through the gamut of festivals around the world. But Deadline reports writers/directors Glenn Ficarra and John Requa don't have to worry about that anymore as Roadside Attractions and Liddell Entertainment (the same companies who just finalized a distribution deal for Alejandro González Iñárritu's Biutiful) have just aquired the US and Canadian rights to the film with a plan to finally send it to theaters on December 3rd.

Finally an Official Trailer for Kaare Andrews' Thriller Altitude

Altitude Trailer

I think this is the third time we've featured a trailer for this , but we finally have an official studio-approved trailer (via STYD) for Kaare Andrews' Altitude and it surprisingly looks pretty damn good. Altitude is that Canadian mid-air monster movie about a bunch of teenagers who take a small plane on a trip and encounter a Lovecraft-like supernatural beast in the clouds. It stars Jessica Lowndes (Autopsy), Julianna Guill (Friday the 13th), Landon Liboiron and Ryan Donowho, and unfortunately will be going straight-to-DVD in October, courtesy of Anchor Bay Films. And that idiot who makes fun of the comic book deserves whatever's coming!

First Look: Rochefort in W.S. Anderson's The Three Musketeers

The Three Musketeers

I'm not really that excited to feature these photos, mainly because it's for a Paul W.S. Anderson movie, and he doesn't usually make great movies. That said, ComingSoon has debuted a couple of interesting first look photos for Anderson's new take on The Three Musketeers, which is currently being shot in 3D for release next summer. The best photos are of Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen as bad guy Rochefort (wearing an eye patch, too). You can also see a boring shot of Logan Lerman as D'Artagnan and Anderson in plain clothes on the set on ComingSoon, if you're interested, but I didn't think those were worth being posted. Check it out!

Jeremy Renner Starring in Paramount's Mission: Impossible IV

Jeremy Renner

Although a casting search began this week, Paramount has cast Jeremy Renner as the lead opposite Tom Cruise in the upcoming Mission: Impossible IV, being directed by Pixar's Brad Bird. Deadline explains: "Paramount has struggled to find the right co-star to play an operative opposite Cruise, and one factor was selecting an actor who could potentially carry the series down the line, should Cruise's Ethan Hunt character not continue." That might happen sooner than later, so Renner would replace Hunt. Actors like Tom Hardy and Chris Pine were considered, so they chose Renner who "has the grit, maturity and chops" for the role.

Warner Bros Lines Up Steve Carell in 'A Boyfriend for My Wife'

Steve Carell

Once production on the seventh season of NBC's series "The Office" concludes, Steve Carell is going to be one busy man. Recently he was announced for a role in The Abstinence Teacher with Sandra Bullock and the DreamWorks comedy Raised by Wolfs and now he has another project on his slate. Variety reports Warner Bros. is developing A Boyfriend for My Wife, a remake of a 2008 romantic comedy from Argentina, and Carell is lined-up to lead the film. The story follows a timid husband who believes the only way of escaping marriage is to get his wife to fall in love with another man, so he enlists the help of a legendary Cassanova.

Netflix Instant is Now Available on Your iPhone and iPod Touch

Netflix Instant

Well after months of it only being available for iPad users, Netfix has finally come through on its promise to deliver Netflix Instant to the iPhone and iPod touch this summer (even though school has already started, summer doesn't end until September). With the newest update for the Netflix app software, anyone with a Netflix subscription and an iPhone or iPod touch device running iOS 3.13 or later will be able to stream all available instant library titles right to the palm of their hand. The streaming is available only over WiFi and the 3G network. But also remember, every time you watch a movie like this, Roger Ebert cries on the inside.

James Wan Directing Adaptation of Graphic Novel 'Nightfall'

Nightfall

Whether you love it or hate it, you have to admit that James Wan has been considerably successful after co-creating and directing the original Saw film. Though he only directed the first one, as an exec producer he still shares in the franchise's success and has turned that into a career allowing him to direct films like Death Sentence and the upcoming Insidious, which will be featured at TIFF next month. Now Deadline has heard that Wan is set to direct an adaptation of the graphic novel Nightfall, which follows a man who is sentenced to spend time in a prison run by vampires. Sounds intriguing, but do we need more vampires?

Christopher McQuarrie to Adapt British Miniseries 'Unforgiven'

Christopher McQuarrie

Recently producer Graham King has established a solid working relationship with A-list actress Angelina Jolie. Not only is his GK Films banner financing her new thriller The Tourist, but he's also producing the Bosnian War love story for her directorial debut. Now it looks like he's lining up yet another project for her as Deadline reports GK Films is developing a big-screen adaptation of the British miniseries Unforgiven with writer Christopher McQuarrie (Valkyrie) penning the script specifically for Jolie to star in. The story follows a woman as she rejoins society after serving a 15-year jail sentence for murdering two policemen.

Watch: Dax Shepard Gets Adulterous in 'The Freebie' Trailer

The Freebie Trailer

Does it still count as adultery if two married people agree to let each other sleep with someone else? That is the essential question that makes up this movie. The Freebie stars Dax Shepard and Katie Aselton and is produced by Mark Duplass, who just so happens to be married to Katie. It's another one of those improv'd mumblecore comedies about a couple who decide, for one night only, that it's okay to let each other have a one night stand. I've heard some great buzz about it from others at Sundance and it looks quite good, so I'm definitely going to check it out. The first official trailer for The Freebie has arrived online, so watch below.

Joss Whedon Chats More About Aspirations for The Avengers

Joss Whedon - The Avengers

Shooting hasn't started, but anticipation is building for Marvel's The Avengers, which has a release date in May 2012 and a full cast. Joss Whedon seems to be the big talking point recently, but the director shared some of his own thoughts in an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald (via SlashFilm). "I'm working on a movie that's got enormous stipulations and is going to be changing and fluid every second. I've come up with dozens of scenes and lines and exchanges and monologues that I adore that are not going to be in it," he explains. "But while I'm writing them they feed me, excite me and they ultimately inform the character."
