Will Ferrell's Indie 'Everything Must Go' Acquired by Roadside
Good news, film fans! Deadline reports that Lionsgate and partner Roadside Attractions have acquired the Toronto Film Festival indie dramedy Everything Must Go from first-time writer/director Dan Rush. It stars Will Ferrell as a alcoholic who returns home after losing his job to find that his soon-to-be-ex-wife has put everything he owns on their lawn. Although I didn't think it was a knock out, it has a brilliant script behind it, and I enjoyed it quite a bit (read my review). Roadside's deal was "north of a $3 million minimum guarantee" which means they'll be giving it a good limited release, but I don't think it will break out that big.

Sound Off: Ben Affleck's The Town - So What Did You Think?
Now that you've seen it, what did you think? Back in 2007, Ben Affleck made his directorial debut with a phenomenal crime thriller called Gone Baby Gone starring his brother Casey Affleck, now he's back with his sophomore effort, The Town. This Boston-based crime drama features a hell of an ensemble cast, with Affleck, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner, Rebecca Hall, Chris Cooper, Blake Lively and Pete Postlethwaite, but is it any good? How does it compare to Gone Baby Gone? Is it one of the best films, about crime or not, this year? If you've seen it, leave a comment and let us know what you thought of Ben Affleck's The Town.

From the Delusional & Egotistical Mind of M. Night Shyamalan
The supernatural thriller Devil opens in theaters today and the promotional push has been excessive. TV spots and trailers showcase what appears to be a B-movie good time. The flick is directed by brothers Drew and John Erick Dowdle but judging from the aforementioned promotional campaign you'd never know it. The only name front-and-center is that of the film's producer and master showman: M. Night Shyamalan.
To be fair, Shyamalan is a brand and the Dowdle Brothers are hardly household names - they're primarily known for the unnecessary horror remake Quarantine. But at a time when Shyamalan's reputation is more

Review: Life and Art Commingle in the Documentary 'Catfish'
I implore you not to read this review for Catfish if you have not yet seen the film. Skip down to the bottom and glance at my rating if you want to know my underlying opinion of the film. It's not that I'm going to get into any major spoilers; I would never do that, not even for something as prefigured as Titanic. However, there are certain films that must be seen fresh, that need to be experienced without the slightest inclination as to what's going to happen. Often times our preconceived notions lead to overblown expectations of a film, especially one with a back half as open as in Catfish. But let's get to the front before we move to the back.

New Trailer for Ron Howard's Romantic Comedy The Dilemma
So this is what Ron Howard has been working on? From Angels & Demons to this romantic comedy piece of cra-- I guess you guys should watch the trailer first and judge for yourself. Universal has debuted the first official trailer over on Apple for the Ron Howard directed romantic comedy of sorts The Dilemma starring Vince Vaughn, Kevin James, Winona Ryder, Jennifer Connelly, Channing Tatum and Queen Latifah. So this isn't really a romantic comedy, but it's a confrontational/infidelity comedy and that's pretty much the same. This doesn't look terrible, but it just looks so painfully average, I'm surprised its from Ron Howard. Enjoy?

Another Great New UK Quad Poster for Matt Reeves' Let Me In
I know we've featured a lot of posters for Matt Reeves' Let Me In, but we've got yet another one today that is worth pointing out, at the least because I think the film still deserves all the attention it can get (read my glowing review). Empire debuted the new UK quad poster which you can see below. Quads are interesting to see for Let Me In, because the original quad for Let the Right One In is one of the best designs ever made, so comparisons can be made. As for the films themselves, I'll honestly say that they're both worth seeing, and I hope everyone sees Let Me In when it opens, as I do think it is on par with the original and it does kick ass.

Kate Beckinsale Finds Some 'Contraband' with Mark Wahlberg
Back in October of last year, we heard that Mark Wahlberg had signed on to star in the remake of the Icelandic thriller Reykjavik-Rotterdam. That project is still happening but according to Latino Review, the film is now going by the title Contraband and has apparently gotten Kate Beckinsale to join the project as well. The story follows a security guard and former alcohol smuggler on the Iceland-Netherlands route who is tempted back into illicit business by a dubious friend after encountering financial problems. Aaron Guzikowski, who wrote the Black Listed script Prisoners, is writing the American remake.

Bryan Cranston, Demetri Martin and More Joining 'Contagion'
It's not easy to improve a cast that already includes the talents of Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, Marion Cotillard, Laurence Fishburne, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law and John Hawkes, but damn it, director Steven Soderbergh is certainly trying. According to The Playlist, rounding out the already impressive cast of his thriller Contagion will be Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad"), Demetri Martin (Taking Woodstock), Jennifer Ehle (Pride & Glory) and Elliot Gould (Ocean's 11 trilogy). The film plays out over four different continents as an international team of doctors and scientists try to contain a deadly viral outbreak.

Mark Strong Lands a Role in 'Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy' Film
As if the ensemble cast of Gary Oldman, Colin Firth & Tom Hardy wasn't reason enough to be interested in the adaptation of John Le Carre's spy novel Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy from director Tomas Alfredson (Let the Right One In), another actor has joined the mix. The Daily Mail reports (via The Playlist) that Mark Strong (Sherlock Holmes, Kick-Ass) has landed an unknown role in the thriller about a big spy hunt within the highest echelons of the British Secret Intelligence Service. Russian actress Svetlana Khodchenkova also joins the cast, however, another previously announced actor may no longer be involved at all. Read on!

Casting Tidbits: Malin Akerman, Kate Bosworth, Kevin James
In a comic, you know how you can tell who the arch-villain's going to be? He's the exact opposite of the hero, and most time's they're friends, like you and me. I should've known way back when. You know why, David? Because of the kids. They called me Mr. Glass. First up, Variety reports the beautiful Malin Akerman has landed an unknown role in the Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd led romantic comedy Wanderlust. Ken Marino, veteran of "The State," wrote the script with Rudd while David Wain (Role Models) will direct. The film tells the story of a married couple (Rudd and Aniston) trying to escape the city life for a counterculture existence.

First Reaction: David Fincher's Fantastic 'The Social Network'
Last night I finally caught a screening of David Fincher's The Social Network, otherwise known as "The Facebook Movie" (it's so much more than that), and like everyone else, I thought it was fantastic. However, unlike everyone else, I didn't love it. But it's also one of those incredible films that makes your mind whirl with so many thoughts as soon as it ends, and it's one of those films that I must see a second time to get a true grasp of my actual feelings on it (that seems to be happening often this year). As you may have already heard, it truly represents our contemporary society and this new generation in way no film has ever before.

Del Toro Talks Monsters and More for 'Mountains of Madness'
While many of you are psyched at the prospect of seeing H.P. Lovecraft's classic novel At the Mountains of Madness come to life on the big screen, I can almost guarantee none of you are as excited as the film's director, Guillermo del Toro. We heard not too long ago that Tom Cruise and James McAvoy were being pursued to lead the literally monstrous adaptation, and since Collider broke that story, that's the first thing they asked about in a recent interview. Del Toro says it's too early to begin casting as they just turned in a new draft of the script to James Cameron and producers. However, he does up offer some amazing details.
