Watch This: Third Official Trailer for Todd Phillips' Due Date!

Due Date Trailer

Warner Bros has debuted a brand new trailer on Apple for Todd Phillips's Due Date with Robert Downey Jr. and Zach Galifianakis, the third one following the initial teaser trailer and a recut international trailer last month. This definitely the final trailer for the upcoming comedy, as it comes out in November, and this trailer finally shows us a glimpse of Downey's pregnant wife, played by Michelle Monaghan, as well as an appearance by Danny McBride. I know this is being called a modern Planes, Trains & Automobiles, but it looks so frickin' fun, even I'm very anxious to see it and it takes a helluva lot to get me excited for a comedy.

Bryan Fuller Writing Live-Action 'Pinocchio' for Warner Bros

Bryan Fuller / Pinocchio

After creating interesting TV series like "Pushing Daisies," "Dead Like Me" and "Wonderfalls," it looks like writer Bryan Fuller is making the leap to the big screen. The Wrap reports Fuller will script a live-action adaptation of Pinocchio for Warner Bros. First brought to the big screen by Walt Disney back in their 1940 animated musical, Pinocchio has seen several iterations including a comedic supporting role in the Shrek franchise a live-action adaptation in the 90's featuring a young Jonathan Taylor Thomas as the title wooden puppet and another live-action adaptation in 2002 both starring and directed by Roberto Benigni.

Casey Affleck Says That 'I'm Still Here' is Almost Entirely Fake

Jennifer Garner

Part of me wishes that we didn't find this out until much later, but since many of us were already suspecting it (and the film is gaining more buzz) I guess there's no time like the present. In an interview with The NY Times director Casey Affleck revealed that I'm Still Here, his documentary chronicling the attempted rap career and downward spiral of his brother-in-law, actor Joaquin Phoenix, is almost completely fake. The act goes all the way back to Phoenix's infamous appearance as a well-dressed hobo on "Late Night with David Letterman." As Affleck puts it, “It’s a terrific performance, it’s the performance of his career.”

Sacha Baron Cohen is Freddie Mercury in the Story of Queen

Sacha Baron Cohen

With his obnoxious, raunchy and always hilarious antics in films like Brüno, Borat, and Talladega Nights, actor Sacha Baron Cohen has had a strong presence in the comedy world. Even his turn in Tim Burton's dark musical Sweeney Todd has a comedic touch to it. Now Cohen is taking the plunge into quite a serious role as Deadline reports the actor has signed on to play Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of one of rock and roll's greatest bands: Queen. The band responsible for hits like Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You and Killer Queen will have their musical exploits chronicled in a feature film from Frost/Nixon writer Peter Morgan.

Mark Romanek to Work With Ben Stiller on 'A Parking Ticket'

Ben Stiller / Mark Romanek

Previously we'd heard about a potential collaboration between director Mark Romanek (Never Let Me Go) and Ben Stiller for the Black Listed dark comedy The Voices. However, Worst Previews reports another project might bring them together. Romanek talked with Worst Previews about some of his future projects and mentioned a father/daughter comedy called A Parking Ticket (formerly titled In Deep) from writer Steve Conrad (The Pursuit of Happyness). The black comedy would follow a dad fighting an unjust parking ticket in order to teach his daughter about the legal system, but his battle ends up getting him on death row.

Jennifer Garner Lands New Thriller & Coming-of-Age Drama

Jennifer Garner

Starting with the hit TV series "Alias" from J.J. Abrams, actress Jennifer Garner has gone back and forth between action and romantic comedy. From the Daredevil misfire (and the far worse Elektra spin-off) to 13 Going on 30 and from The Kingdom to Juno (in the same year), she's seamlessly moved back and forth between the two genres. Now she's taking on two more projects, each drastically different from one another. The first will see her taking on a motherly role in a coming-of-age comedy from writer Peter Hedges while the second will have her take a dark turn in a dramatic thriller alongside Jeremy Renner. Details below!

Watch: 'The Nutcracker 3D' Official Trailer with Elle Fanning

The Nutcracker 3D

I'm not really sure where this came from, but Awards Daily found a new official trailer for The Nutcracker 3D, Andrei Konchalovsky's spectacular take on the classic Christmas story starring the likes of Elle Fanning, John Turturro, Nathan Lane and Charlie Rowe. This looks incredibly fantastical and very stylized, almost to the point where it might not be good, but I think it could be fun to watch. To be honest, this reminds me of Hook, with Konchalovsky twisting the classic Nutcracker story into his own wild vision. Check out all those crazy steampunk machines the Rat King has, what a crazy idea. Anyway, check out the official trailer below!

David Fincher & Media Rights Capital Line Up Production Deal

David Fincher MRC

With favorite movies like Se7en and Fight Club under his belt and the highly anticipated story of Facebook hitting theaters early next month with The Social Network, THR reports director David Fincher is now in the midst of setting up a new production deal with Media Rights Capital. Although negotiations are still ongoing, apparently it's very similar to the deal M. Night Shyamalan struck with the company to oversee The Night Chronicles production banner. No name is given for banner Fincher would establish at MRC, but THR hypothesizes it may involve films in the same vein as his signature thrillers like Se7en and Zodiac. Read on!

First Look: Epic Concept Art for a Live-Action 'Voltron' Movie!

Voltron Movie

The last we heard of a Voltron movie was over a year ago, in July of '09, when it was revealed that Charles Roven's Atlas Entertainment had acquired the rights and was developing a live-action take on the animated TV series. We haven't heard a single word about it since, but out of nowhere JoBlo landed some very badass concept art that is supposedly part of Atlas' pitch for the project which they are taking around Hollywood to sell. We don't know who's responsible for this gorgeous artwork, but word is Atlas got screenwriters Thomas Donnelly & Joshua Oppenheimer (Sahara, Conan, Doctor Strange) to pen the script. You've got to see this!

Watch: Kevin Spacey as Abramoff in the 'Casino Jack' Trailer

Casino Jack Trailer

"Out of order?! You're out of order!" Casino Jack is the feature film version of the infamous Casino Jack and the United States of Money story (watch the trailer for that doc) that stars the always awesome Kevin Spacey as political lobbyist Jack Abramoff. I'm not sure how fictional this version is compared to the true story, but it looks great. I love the trailer, it's such a perfect introduction to this flick. Spacey has a spark to him that not many other actors have and I love seeing him in this role, even if it is a little over-the-top, but screw it. Plus, I personally love the film versions of stories like this more than documentaries. Watch below!

Toronto Video Interview with '127 Hours' Director Danny Boyle

Danny Boyle

One of the most talked about films this fall is Danny Boyle's 127 Hours, his highly anticipated follow-up to Slumdog Millionaire that tells the true story of mountaineer Aron Ralston who got pinned under a boulder for five days. We first saw the film at the Telluride Film Festival (my review) and later met for an interview with Aron Ralston, but a few weeks after that, both Peter from SlashFilm and I were lucky enough to catch up with Oscar winning filmmaker Danny Boyle for an interview while he was in town at the Toronto Film Festival. We asked as many question as we could about 127 Hours, so make sure you watch the whole thing!

Alex Proyas Hired to Direct Legendary's 'Paradise Lost' Movie

Alex Proyas

Take that Universal! It looks like director Alex Proyas (The Crow, Dark City, I Robot, Knowing) might not be shooting Dracula Year Zero with Sam Worthington next year after all. Legendary Pictures has a movie that they were developing with Day the Earth Stood Still's director Scott Derrickson called Paradise Lost, based on the epic 17th-century English poem by John Milton, but Variety reports that Legendary has hired Alex Proyas to direct in place of Derrickson and reveals some exciting details about how epic and huge this project will be. I know this is a high profile project for Legendary, so we might see it sooner than you think.
