Check These Out: Six New Character Posters for 'Priest' Arrive
A week ago we featured the official trailer for Scott Stewart's upcoming adaptation of the Tokyopop manga Priest starring Paul Bettany as a warrior priest who hunts vampire creatures in a post-apocalyptic future. IMPAwards got their hands on a series of six character posters and considering I'm a fan of a good series of posters, I thought I'd toss these up today. First, that shot of Cam Gigandet above reminds me of Christoph Waltz from Green Hornet, with a gnarly double-barreled gun and all. Second, damn Lily Collins looks cute (lower middle). Third, can you tell that's Karl Urban as Black Hat? Because I can't! Check them out below.

Disturbia Screenwriter Carl Ellsworth is Getting 'Goosebumps'
Reader beware, you're in for a scare! It's been over two years since we heard that R.L. Stine's bestselling young adult horror novel series Goosebumps was headed to the big screen courtesy of Columbia Pictures. Now there finally seems to be some progress on the potential franchise adaptation as Risky Biz says writer Carl Ellsworth, who co-wrote Disturbia and the forthcoming Red Dawn remake, will be writing the script for the live-action film. With franchise stories within the series itself, the Goosebumps series told horrifying and supernatural tales friendly to youngsters resulting in over 300 million copies sold around the world.

Danny Trejo and Erin Cummings are Bad Bikers in 'Tarantula'
Earlier this month the grindhouse inspired blood bath that was Machete gave Danny Trejo the opportunity to kick some asses using a machine gun equipped motorcycle. Now it looks like he'll get another opportunity to look like a killer biker all over again as Heat Vision reports Trejo and the gorgeous Erin Cummings (of "Spartacus: Blood and Sand") have joined the cast of indie thriller Tarantula. The film follows a woman (Cummings) who breaks away from a tight-knit biker gang to start a new life but finds escape isn't as easy as she thought. The leader of the gang (Trejo) is looking for her as well as revenge for his brother's death.

Shawn Levy Bringing TV's 'Deadliest Warrior' to the Big Screen
Wait, what? This is about as odd as that Ice Road Truckers movie. Paramount has officially announced (via Deadline) tonight that Shawn Levy's 21 Laps Entertainment will be bringing Spike TV's original hit series "Deadliest Warrior" to the big screen. So is this going to be a feature or more of a pseudo-documentary? The show is "Mythbusters"-like challenge that pits two different types of warriors (Spartan vs. Ninja, Viking vs. Samurai, etc) against each other using various tests and experts to prove which is the deadliest. I've seen an episode and it's fun, but as a feature film? That makes no sense. What the heck is the story going to be?

Must Watch: Official Trailer for David O. Russell's 'The Fighter'
Paramount has just debuted the official trailer for David O. Russell's The Fighter, their upcoming boxing drama starring an incredibly buff Mark Wahlberg as 'Irish' Mickey Ward, Christian Bale as his brother Dickie Eklund, and a supporting casting including a sultry Amy Adams. Another boxing movie? Yes, but this looks fantastic, I mean it. I love the energy, I love the build-up, this is one of those trailers that makes you want to stand up and cheer. I've heard some amazing things about this already, but it looks truly Oscar caliber. I think Bale, especially, Wahlberg and even Adams have a shot at some nominations. Watch below!

Toronto Review & Video: Max Winkler's First Film 'Ceremony'
Another world premiere I caught up at the Toronto Film Festival was Max Winkler's Ceremony, an indie comedy starring Michael Angarano (Snow Angels, Gentlemen Broncos), Lee Pace (The Fall, A Single Man), Reece Thompson (Rocket Science) and also Uma Thurman (who needs no introduction). It's a smart indie with some snappy dialogue, but it's a wonderfully amusing film about two friends who learn their is more to life than just chasing after older women. Well, at least that's what Angarano learns, as the plot involves him attempting to crash Thurman-Pace's wedding as he's in love with Uma and doesn't want her to marry him.

TIFF Faves Get US Distribution: Insidious, Submarine & More
The buzz is out there. That was a bit cheesy, but I'm very happy to report great news regarding sales of two of my favorite films at the Toronto Film Festival that needed distributors. The first is Richard Ayoade's Submarine, the quirky indie comedy that we fell in love with a few days ago. Deadline says The Weinstein Company paid around $1 million for the film and will be releasing it in 2011, so keep your eyes out for that one. Earlier in the fest, TWC picked up Sarah's Key and Dirty Girl, but I haven't heard much buzz on those. The other big sale was of James Wan's Insidious, which premiered last night and I wrote a rave review for.

Watch: Newer 'Paranormal Activity 2' Trailer has Creepy Secrets
That photo above comes from one of the creepy hidden shots in the newly revised trailer for Paranormal Activity 2. The first trailer for the sequel to the cult horror hit of last fall debuted back in June, but in the last few days, Paramount has quietly released another revised version of that exact same first trailer (via the official website) that contains some tweaks and other scary Easter eggs, like that randomly freaky shot of the baby above (and second girl behind it!). MTV has a big list of the changes they found, but it obviously looks like the focus of this sequel is on the baby. Looks like they're going all out on the creepiness in this sequel.

Watch: Second New Full-Length Trailer for Disney's 'Tangled'
Disney has just debuted the second full-length trailer for their upcoming animated movie Tangled over on Moviefone today. This animated adventure is a re-telling of the classic Rapunzel story featuring the voices of Mandy Moore as Rapunzel and Zachary Levi as the fearless hero Flynn. It looks like a whole lot of fun and I'm looking forward to seeing it, at the very least because I love Disney's animated adventures and this looks quite good, with a Pirates of the Caribbean touch to it. I know Disney wants this to be a huge hit and with a trailer like this, it definitely has the potential to be. Kick back and enjoy this fun new Tangled trailer below.

Olivia Wilde is Helping Reynolds and Bateman 'Change Up' a Bit
Back in March we found out one of the many forthcoming projects for Ryan Reynolds would see him opposite Jason Bateman in Change Up, a classic body switch story where a responsible family man (Bateman) trades bodies with his lazy, man-child of a best friend (Reynolds). David Dobkin (Wedding Crashers) is directing the comedy that will hopefully make a tired recycled concept seem fresh. Also making the film a little easier to look at will be the stunning Olivia Wilde ("House M.D.") who has a promising future in film with roles in highly anticipated projects like Tron Legacy later this year and Cowboys & Aliens next summer.

Ryan Reynolds' Updates on Deadpool Confirm His Dedication
Within the past couple months, the forward progress on a Green Lantern sequel and a whole slew of new projects like Safe House and R.I.P.D. utilizing the talents of Ryan Reynolds have created some uncertainty in the potential of the gestating Deadpool movie every getting made. However, in a recent talk with Hero Complex, Reynolds doesn't show any signs of wear, and he seems as dedicated to the project as ever. As we've expected from the adaptation of the Merc with a Mouth, a sarcastic and almost invincible killer for hire, Reynolds says, "It goes in such a different direction than a superhero movie usually goes." Read on!

Daniel Stramm Looks to 'Reincarnate' for The Night Chronicles
The first installment of The Night Chronicles (both a series of films and a production banner from M. Night Shyamalan) will hit theaters later this week as Devil aims to stop you from using elevators ever again. Initially we heard that the second film in the thriller anthology would be called Twelve Strangers, a story involving a jury deliberating a case dealing with the supernatural where the members find themselves haunted by the same strange forces that hold the key to the case. However, today a press release reveals the second film is actually titled Reincarnate with Daniel Stamm, fresh off his work on The Last Exorcism, set to direct.
