Watch: First Teaser Trailer for D.J. Caruso's I Am Number Four
DreamWorks (Steven Spielberg's productiong company, not the animation house) has debuted the first full teaser trailer for their upcoming epic sci-fi adaptation I Am Number Four directed by D.J. Caruso (The Saltson Sea, Disturbia). This stars Alex Pettyfer (also from Beastly) as an alien from another planet being destroyed by a rival species. He comes to Earth and blends in as a high school student, but obviously the bad guys come find him. Pettyfer's guardian on Earth was originally going to be Sharlto Copley but was replaced by Timothy Olyphant last minute. It's an early introductory teaser so there's not too much in it, but enjoy!

Steve Carell Joins Adaptation of Musical Doc 'Of All the Things'
Though he put on a little musical performance in the 2007 film Dan in Real Life, actor Steve Carell may be stretching his vocal talents a little further. Variety reports Carell has signed on to star in and produce a feature film adaptation of the 2008 film Of All the Things, a music documentary which followed songwriter-producer Dennis Lambert, the man behind such hits as Baby Come Back and We Built This City. The Warner Bros. film will take cues from the documentary which saw him step away from his career selling real estate in Florida to embark on a two-week concert tour in the Philippines. Find out why below.

Another Variation on 'Snow White' Currently in Development
In addition to the edgy take on the classic fairytale from producer Brett Ratner and Relativity Media, it looks like the story of Snow White has another variation making the rounds in Hollywood. Heat Vision reports that a project called Snow White and the Huntsman is being taken around to studios. Written by Evan Daugherty and directed by Rupert Sanders, this take on the fairytale would see the role of the sympathetic huntsman expanded into a sort of mentor who teaches a teenage Snow White how to fight and survive in the woods after the two attempt to make an escape after being chained together.

Casting Tidbits: Josh Holloway, Rachel Bilson & Maggie Grace
Who cares about Derek Zoolander anyway? The man has only one look for Christ's sake! Blue Steel? Ferrari? Le Tigra? They're the same face! Doesn't anybody notice this? I feel like I'm taking crazy pills! First RiskyBiz reports "Lost" actor Josh Holloway has landed a role in the next installment of the Mission Impossible franchise. In his first major film role since the conclusion of the hit ABC series, Holloway will play a member of Ethan Hunt's (Tom Cruise) IMF team. Director Brad Bird already has great cast including Jeremy Renner and Paula Patton, not to mention returning franchise cast members Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg.

First Look: Anne Hathaway and Jim Sturgess Star in 'One Day'
I didn't even know this was shooting already! USA Today has debuted the first photo for the upcoming film One Day from Danish filmmaker Lone Scherfig (An Education) based on a book and adapted by David Nicholls. The romantic comedy plays with a gimmick where two people, who first meet at their graduation from the University of Edinburgh in 1988, proceed to reunite one day each year for the next 20 years. The always beautiful Anne Hathaway stars as Emma alongside of Jim Sturgess as Dexter. I love how unique these two look in this film, different than you'd expect, and damn does Sturgess look like Chris Pine or what.

The Star Wars Saga in 3D Returning to Theaters Starting 2012
Though we'd heard rumors about the Star Wars saga making a return to theaters in 3D for awhile, back in January the man behind the curtain, George Lucas said the quality and success of Avatar's 3D presentation was "a new impetus to make that happen." Nine months later and USA Today has officially announced that Lucasfilm will reprocess the entire movie series in 3D and re-release them in theaters starting in 2012. Episode I: The Phantom Menace will be the first film to hit theaters and Heat Vision says that will hit in the early months of 2012 with the remaining films released every following year in chronological order.

Jonathan Levine Adapting a Pulp Fiction Novel 'Little Girl Lost'
After delivering quite the slice of life in the 90's with The Wackness, director Jonathan Levine moved on to the dark comedy Live With It (formerly known as I'm With Cancer) starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt & Seth Rogen. Now the director will be diving into pulp fiction as Heat Vision says Levine will direct an adaptation of the hard-boiled crime novel Little Girl Lost by Richard Aleas (writer Charles Ardai's pseudonym). Actor & writer Michael Bacall is adapting the story about a private dick who discovers his high school girlfriend became a stripper and is now dead. To find her killer he has to get his hands dirty in the shady part of town.

Jeremy's Fantastic Fest Review: Miguel Angel Vivas' Kidnapped
A feature length film told in a total of twelve, long-winding shots. That was the main parameter Spanish director Miguel Angel Vivas set before himself in making his newest horror-thriller film Kidnapped (also known as Secuestrados originally in Spanish). Telling a rather basic story within a somewhat basic setting is one way of handling this challenge, and that is precisely what Vivas has done with this film. Kidnapped, for all of its grand conceptual staging and near flawless execution, ends up failing to resonate as a narrative, and, unfortunately, Vivas underlying idea in the story he has set out to tell becomes a gimmick in the end.

Excl: New Poster Debut for Paul Haggis' The Next Three Days!
We are proud to exclusively debut a brand new official poster for Paul Haggis' new thriller The Next Three Days, starring Russell Crowe, Elizabeth Banks, Liam Neeson, Olivia Wilde and Brian Dennehy. Earlier this month we featured the teaser poster for this, which is one of my favorite posters of the year. This new poster that we're debuting has a very classic, stylish Steven McQueen look to it, with Russell Crowe being the guy who brings the action, and Paul Haggis behind-the-lens delivering another clever thriller. It's a sleek design and I love that they're going for something that isn't the same kind of poster we see over and over nowadays.

Fantastic Fest Review: Quentin Dupieux's Anomalous 'Rubber'
No reason. That's a safe moniker to throw at your audience, particularly when your film is about a rubber tire named Robert with a taste for blood. This is the general premise behind Rubber, the new French film from Quentin Dupieux (aka Mr. Oizo), that opens up the idea that anything goes right at the beginning. As Stephen Spinella's Lieutenant Chad explains to us in the film's opening monologue, questioning what you are about to see is as inane as asking why E.T. is brown. No reason. Why did the people in Texas Chainsaw Massacre never wash their hands? No reason. If trivial questions like those can be viewed as meaningless

Watch This: Full-Length Trailer for Mockumentary 'Trollhunter'
Ohh yes! We featured an awesome teaser trailer back in August for an upcoming Norwegian mockumentary called Trollhunter. Now we have the first full-length trailer from VGTV and it looks amazing! Trollhunter, known as Trolljegeren in its original language, is basically about a group of students trying to uncover the government conspiracy of giant trolls living in Norway. The first teaser didn't really show any of the actual trolls (like the one above), but this trailer finally has some footage of them and damn does it look awesome. I don't know why, but this is exactly the kind of mockumentary I love seeing, and I can't wait to watch this!
