Check These Out: Crossover Star Wars Posters for Films of Past
Since many Star Wars fans were saddened by the news of The Empire Strikes Back director Irvin Kershner passing away, what better time than now for some cool fan-created art inspired by everyone's favorite space opera. This simple but brilliant collection of minimalist crossover posters featuring familiar characters and fonts takes some great movies from years past and gives them a new feel by relating them to the Star Wars universe. Designer Matthew Ranzetta only created five posters so far (hopefully more are on the way), but his take on movies like Rebel Without a Cause and Empire Records should bring a smile to your face.

Watch: Fantastic BTS Featurette for Sofia Coppola's 'Somewhere'
Another upcoming film still due out this year that I am very anxious to see is Sofia Coppola's Somewhere, her wonderful-looking new drama starring Stephen Dorff and Elle Fanning as father/daughter. IMDb just debuted a fantastic behind-the-scenes featurette for the film that is just full of so much heart. It covers a wide range of topics, from Sofia Coppola's interests to the themes to how natural the performances all are. "I always am a fan of seeing movies that really come from a point of view that only that person could've made it, so I try to do that," Coppola explains. It definitely feels that way. Watch the wonderful BTS video below!

Daft Punk's 'Tron Legacy' Score: KCRW Interview + New Preview
Briefly: There's a lot going on with Tron Legacy right now, but one aspect we're happy to always mention is the soundtrack, created by Daft Punk. There have been a couple recent updates related to Daft Punk and the Tron Legacy score worth mentioning, so here we go. First, MySpace has a massive 21-minute preview of the soundtrack, but I say stick it out and listen to the whole on December 7th. Next, LA-based radio station KCRW interviewed director Joe Kosinski and talked at length about the score and choosing/working with Daft Punk. I've featured one of the videos, but all of them can be found on SlashFilm or KCRW.com. Enjoy!

Casting Tidbits: Ray Wise, Jackie Earle Haley and Paul Giamatti
With as much dignity as he could muster, the Old Man gathered up the sad remains of his shattered Casting Tidbits. Later that night, alone in the backyard, he buried it next to the garage. Now I could never be sure, but I thought that I heard the sound of "Taps" being played, gently. IGN has heard straight form the horse's mouth that Ray Wise ("Reaper", "24") landed a role in Bryan Singer's X-Men: First Class. In the silver age, 1960's set comic book adaptation Wise will be playing the Secretary of State of the United States. The actor will be shooting for a couple weeks and mentioned he may be involved with some big special effects sequences.

Watch: Full Trailer for Halle Berry's New Drama 'Frankie & Alice'
Just like Crazy Heart last year, there's an indie drama that we've never heard of until a few months ago that a small studio is releasing just in time for Oscars in hopes of getting its star a nomination and potential win. It's called Frankie and Alice and, according to early buzz, it does actually put Halle Berry in the Oscar race once again. Frankie and Alice is described as a "moving psychological drama" based on the harrowing true story of Frankie Murdoch (Berry), a woman suffering with multiple personality disorder. It also stars Stellan Skarsgård, Matt Frewer, Phylicia Rashad and Chandra Wilson. Check out the official trailer below!

Chris Nolan is Excited to Be Working on Batman's 'Last Chapter'
Even though we're still two years out and shooting hasn't even started on The Dark Knight Rises, we're already at that point where we're hyping it up just for the sake of hype. As in, even though there is no news or new information to report, this new quote from director Christopher Nolan is still worth reading just because it's an awesome two-year-early tease for the extremely highly anticipated conclusion to his Batman saga. Nolan spoke with Entertainment Weekly recently and confirmed that this is "the last chapter of our Batman saga." He also talked about how he's very excited to be working on TDKR next following Inception.

Michael Douglas is Recovering Fine & Ready for 'Liberace' Biopic
At the end of October we heard from Matt Damon that he was planning on shooting Steven Soderbergh's gestating biopic on famed pianist Liberace next summer. However, since the man attached to play the iconic musician, Michael Douglas, had contracted Stage 4 throat cancer, his future, both in his career and life, seemed uncertain. However, THR recently spoke with the actor who revealed that he is recovering famously and is eager to get back to work very soon. In addition, Douglas confirms that he will indeed make his return to the big screen by taking the lead role in Soderbergh's Liberace project which will shoot in May or June. Read on!

Director Allen Hughes and Mark Wahlberg Move to 'Broken City'
Though plenty of fans were disappointed to learn that Mark Wahlberg would step into the role of Nathan Drake for David O. Russell's adaptation of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, maybe a different project with the actor will interest you. In an interview with MTV, Wahlberg revealed that he has his sights set upon Broken City, a project that would pair the actor up with director Allen Hughes, one-half of the Hughes Brothers directing duo behind films like The Book of Eli and Menace II Society. Wahlberg describes the film as a neo noir/crime thriller/mystery in the same vein as Chinatown or L.A. Confidential. Details on the story below!

Giant Shadows Loom in First Poster for 'The Adjustment Bureau'
Though we got an intriguing first trailer last May, sad news came later that Universal's The Adjustment Bureau starring Matt Damon and Emily Blunt would be delayed until March 2011. That creates some worry for the film from first-time director George Nolfi (known previously for his writing credits on films like The Bourne Ultimatum), but I'm still extremely excited to see this. Now some hype comes in the form of a Hitchcockian style poster with tall shadows (reminiscent of The Untouchables) looming after Damon and Blunt. The poster seems a little too clean, but you can check out the full poster below and judge for yourself.

Tom Hanks Officially Joining Kathryn Bigelow's 'Triple Frontier'
When we last heard about the next project from Academy Award winning director Kathryn Bigelow (The Hurt Locker), A-list actor Tom Hanks was being sought to possibly join the project. At the time, it seemed like the project known as Triple Frontier would be changing its title to Sleeping Dogs instead. While a recent ComingSoon interview with producer Charles Roven didn't clear up the confusion, it was officially revealed that Hanks is officially signed on to the project. Roven said, "Tom Hanks is starring in the film, and we're still looking to cast the other roles. We're hoping to start shooting the movie sometime in mid-March."
