First Look: First Official Photo for Pixar's Cars 2 Comes Flying In
Woohoo!! Disney has released the first official photo from Pixar's Cars 2 that features Lightning McQueen, Mater and their new friend Finn McMissile (we don't know who's voicing yet?) attempting to escape from a hot pursuit that includes a plane and a huge explosion in the background. Epic. We featured the first short teaser trailer for Cars 2 back in October, but it didn't show much besides lasers shooting all over the place. Apparently the first full trailer will hit tomorrow morning, so stick around for that. In the meantime, we've got this photo below and a new teaser poster on Yahoo as well, which we used for the image above. Enjoy!

Danny McBride Now Attached to Gestating Comedy 'Used Guys'
Some years ago the high concept sci-fi comedy Used Guys from director Jay Roach (Dinner for Schmucks) featuring Jim Carrey and Ben Stiller completely fell apart one month before shooting when a rising budget, which had reached over $100 million, scared Fox from following through with production. Carrey and Roach left the project shortly thereafter and all hope seemed lost. Then last year it was announced that Little Miss Sunshine directors Valerie Faris and Jonathan Dayton would helm the comedy with Stiller still attached and Reese Witherspoon taking the female lead. Now it sounds like Danny McBride might be involved, too.

'Underworld 4' Lands Directing Duo Mans Marlind & Bjorn Stein
Along with actress Noomi Rapace (Girl with the Dragon Tattoo), the work of author John Ajvide Lindqvist has been contributing to a sudden influx of Swedish talent in the American film industry. Now two more Swedes are making great strides as Heat Vision reports Mans Marlind and Bjorn Stein, the directing team behind the horror thriller Shelter, are set to direct the next installment in the Underworld franchise. Back in September we found out that Kate Beckinsale would indeed be reprising her role as Lycan hunter Selene with a script (being kept under wraps) from John Hlavin with revisions by J. Michael Straczynski.

First Badass Teaser Poster for Jon Favreau's 'Cowboys & Aliens'!
Oh hell yes! What a way to kick off an exciting week. Given this is the week one of the year's biggest movies lands in theaters, all the other studios are starting to tease their upcoming movies for the next year, and that includes this big summer comic book adaptation. Yahoo debuted the official teaser poster for Jon Favreau's Cowboys & Aliens starring Daniel Craig as "anti-hero" Zeke Jackson, who helps to save a small western town invaded by aliens. The first trailer arrives on Wednesday afternoon, so we'll soon be able to get a look at some of the footage that blew us away at Comic-Con. In the meantime, check out this great teaser poster!

Casting Tidbits: Emma Stone, Paul Giamatti and David Tennant
You're wrong, Frank. I'm not a kid, I'm a Casting Tidbit. I am gonna get you better, and then I'm gonna beat you to death! First, Variety reports the lovely Emma Stone and director Will Gluck, who just collaborated on Easy A, will work with Screen Gems again for another still untitled comedy. Though no details are known about the new project, this will actually be the third time that the director and actress have worked together since Stone also appears in Gluck's raunchy sex comedy Friends with Benefits. However, it is unclear how soon this project will get off the ground with Stone set to play Gwen Stacy in the new Spider-Man franchise.

The Moving Arts' 100 Greatest Movies of All Time List Unveiled
I got an email last night for a new 100 Greatest Movies of All Time list, this time made by The Moving Arts Film Journal, an "online publication dedicated to the moving art of film." We've seen plenty of these lists, and we all know that AFI's list still supposedly reigns supreme, but there are always good alternatives and this is one. As you might expect from a "film journal", their picks are very classical, with barely anything coming from the 21st century. I've highlighted their Top 20 below for discussion purposes, but head over to TMAFJ's website to see the full line-up of all 100, which includes There Will Be Blood and Eternal Sunshine.

Check Out SlashFilm's Fantastic Sneak Peek at 'The Muppets' Set
Over the weekend, our good friend Peter Sciretta of SlashFilm stopped by the Jim Henson Company offices in Hollywood that were temporarily converted into "Muppet Studios" to film scenes from Jason Segel's The Muppets. Normally we don't post many set photos like this, but I thought they were a harmless early sneak peek at what we can expect for this upcoming Muppets movie, which based on that perfect first photo, looks like it's headed in amazing directions so far. There's a great close-up in the gallery showing a sign of "Studio Attractions" - but all of them are closed! You need to see all of these, so head to SlashFilm's full set report.

Aronofsky Says His Movie Titled 'The Wolverine', Not a Sequel?
Every time I think about Darren Aronofsky directing the next Wolverine sequel movie, I get baffled and excited, mostly because I'm still amazed he is going to direct this next. If you need any more proof that this project is now in perfect hands to whip Wolverine back into shape and show us what he is really capable of, here it is. HitFix spoke with Aronofsky recently and learned that the title will actually be The Wolverine, ditching the X-Men Origins prefix, and it apparently is a "one-off" that "isn't a sequel in any conventional sense." I'm sure they're trying to distance themselves from X-Men Origins: Wolverine as much as possible.

Fox Searchlight's Gorgeous Official Website for Black Swan is Up
Fox Searchlight has been knocking it out of the park recently with the websites for their films (e.g. Danny Boyle's 127 Hours). One gorgeous design after another, and that's key in making sure these fantastic indies get some extra attention. Plus, mentioning this gives me the chance to talk about how much I frickin' love Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan. I got to watch it again last week at the AFI Fest premiere and it was even better a second time. Awards Daily was the first to mention the new site, which is just gorgeous to navigate through and full of so many great photos. Click BlackSwan2010.com or the image below to check it out.

First Skull & Crossbones Poster from 'Pirates of the Caribbean 4'
Another beloved character returning to theaters next summer is none other than Capt. Jack Sparrow. Disney has been shooting the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean for the last few months and is preparing to release it right in the thick of summer, as always. To start hyping a new sequel, Disney debuted a skull & crossbones teaser poster for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (even though that title isn't on it) found on IMPAwards. I added the skull & crossbones posters for the first two movies (At World's End didn't have one) for nostalgic reference above the new poster. We expect to see a trailer fairly soon too, so stay tuned!

Indie Trailer Sunday: Giamatti and Hoffman in 'Barney's Version'
Earlier last week, Sony Pictures Classics debuted another theatrical trailer for Richard J. Lewis' Barney's Version, the indie drama starring Paul Giamatti, Dustin Hoffman, Minnie Driver, Rosamund Pike, Scott Speedman and Bruce Greenwood. Yes, we featured a short teaser trailer for this same film back in August, so this isn't our first look at Barney's Version, but it is a well made full-length trailer that should interest a few of you. This is actually a lot more dramatic than I thought, I guess because I expected Giamatti to be funny, but it looks surprisingly quite charming. It's a deserving trailer of the Indie Trailer Sunday spotlight. Enjoy!

10 Questions in 60 Sec w/ Tron's Olivia Wilde & Garrett Hedlund
Everyone is sufficiently excited for Tron Legacy right? Well, to give you something to chew on while you wait that doesn't spoil anything but is extremely fun to watch, fire up this video. It was uploaded by Disney, but first found by our friends at HeyUGuys.co.uk, and is another promo spot that stars Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund shot at the End of Line club at Comic-Con. The two answer 10 Tron-related questions in 60 seconds and it makes for some hilariously playful and very nerdy improv'd banter. "Because it fliessss!" "Whaaatttt?" Or my favorite: "Play it real dirty... there are no rules!" Only 33 more days left. Watch below!
