Six Actresses Shortlisted for Two Roles in 'The Dark Knight Rises'
About two weeks ago, the slow news resulted in our reporting on a rumor that Charlize Theron and Vera Farmiga were being considered for a couple love interest roles for The Dark Knight Rises, the highly anticipated sequel from Christopher Nolan. However, the two actresses aren't mentioned in a shortlist of actresses which Deadline says will be meeting with Nolan himself to be considered for two major female roles. One will be that of a love interest for Bruce Wayne and the other would be an unnamed villain. The usual suspects of leading ladies like Natalie Portman are mentioned as well as Rachel Weisz and Naomi Watts. More names below!

Watch: Official Trailer for Disney's New 'Winnie the Pooh' Movie
Sometimes we all feel a little hungry... Disney has released the first official trailer, first found by The Film Stage, for their new hand-drawn Winnie the Pooh movie out next summer, featuring the voice talents of Jim Cummings, Craig Ferguson, Tom Kenny, Peter Cullen, Wayne Knight and Gilbert Gottfried. Oh my, this looks wonderful. Sticking a Keane song in this helps, too, as they're one of my favorite bands and it adds a magical touch to this that I wasn't expecting at first. This doesn't really explain any of the storyline, but it is a delightfully whimsical and fully entertaining trailer that will leave you with a smile for the rest of the day.

Paladin Distributing First Flip Cam Movie 'A Love Affair of Sorts'
We knew it was coming. With Paranormal Activity 2 raking in tons of cash at the box office, the handheld, realistic, found footage revolution is set to explode. I found a recent THR article reporting on, correct me if I'm wrong, the first full Flip cam movie, which is actually getting distribution next year. It's titled A Love Affair of Sorts and is directed by David Guy Levy. The film follows a guy & girl who meet in a bookstore when he catches her shoplifting with his ever-present Flip cam. As they start up a tentative relationship, he captures it all on the camera, though nothing about the situation is as straightforward as it seems. Read on!

First Look: Two Photos from Disney's Newest 'Winnie the Pooh'
It was first announced last year that Disney would be bringing the wonderful, lovable Winnie the Pooh back to the big screen again in an all new animated adventure for the whole family to enjoy. Disney has unveiled two new photos from the new movie, called simply Winnie the Pooh, which you can check out below. The voice cast features veteran Jim Cummings back again to voice the honey-loving bear Winnie the Pooh and the bouncy feline Tigger, as he's been doing since 1988. It also includes: Craig Ferguson as the Owl, Tom Kenny as the Rabbit, and Gilbert Gottfried as Marley. Yes, they used classic hand-drawn animation, too!

Working Title Conjuring a Contemporary 'Merlin' for Big Screen
For almost an entire decade, young wizards have dominated the big screen thanks to the blockbuster Harry Potter franchise. Sure Gandalf the Grey/White threw down to give old wizards a good name for a few years, but his roots can be linked to a wizard that is from the times and legends of King Arthur. Without Merlin, the iconic magic man, there would be no Gandalf or Albus Dumbledore. As Harry Potter's journey comes to an end on the big screen, Heat Vision reports Working Title is developing a contemporary take on the magician that will bring the legendary wizard into a modern setting. Isn't the iPhone magical enough?

Farrelly Bros' 'Three Stooges' Film Officially Dead for Jim Carrey
There's been so much fluctuation, speculation and hesitation on the Three Stooges project from Dumb & Dumber directing duo Bobby & Peter Farelly, it's hard to know what's going on anymore. It's been over ten years since the project was mentioned and lately talent like Sean Penn has come and gone (he might still be involved) and even Jim Carrey was apparently out of the mix too. At the time we weren't sure if Carrey's departure was official, but the actor recently sat down with MTV and commented on the project, "I think it's dead." He went on to clarify, "It's dead at least with me." That's quite a definitive statement on the matter.

Jon Favreau in Talks to Direct Disney's 'Magic Kingdom' Project
Damn, Disney got a big catch with this! Deadline reports that actor/filmmaker extraordinaire Jon Favreau (of Elf, Zathura, Iron Man 1 & 2) is in talks to direct Magic Kingdom, a project with a concept similar to Night at the Museum where attractions at the theme park come to life. Magic Kingdom is Disney's Orlando, Florida version of Disneyland, complete with Tomorrowland, Adventureland and Fantasyland. I'm not really sure how this will work, though, because a lot of their attractions (see a list here) are based on pre-existing properties, and I don't think they want Pirates of the Caribbean or The Haunted Mansion in this, or do they?

Video Reactions: AFI's Surprise World Premiere of 'The Fighter'
Last night AFI Fest, one of Los Angeles' premium film festivals, hosted a surprise world premiere of David O. Russell's The Fighter, the boxing film starring Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. Based on a true story, it follows two Massachusetts brothers, one a former boxer and drug addict, the other a younger rising boxer, Mickey Ward, who in the late 90's went on to when a title with the help of his brother. It's another triumphant boxing movie, but it's damn good, great I would even say, but not amazing. After the premiere, Peter and Germain from SlashFilm and I recorded a video of our reactions, which you can watch below.
