Some of Cinema's Most Iconic Vehicles Might Be Cooler as Vans
There's plenty of hardcore movie fans who would die to have some of cinema's most iconic vehicles in their garage. From the legendary time traveling DeLorean used in Back to the Future to the trusty ole Ecto-1 from Ghostbusters. While getting your hands on one of these is highly unlikely, one man has figured out how to make these vehicles of film his own. No he's not a super rich kid who gets whatever he wants, but Brandon Ortwein has taken some of the most recognizable vehicles from different movies and re-imagined them as super cool vans for his ongoing series "It Would Be Cooler as a Van" on Flickr. Check out his creations!

Disney Developing an Enchanted Tiki Room-Inspired Movie 'Tiki'
If you've ever been to Disneyland in California, you've probably been to the Enchanted Tiki Room (if not, book a trip now!), a Polynesian-themed interactive tiki room where you can get a delicious pineapple drink. Well, 24 Frames says Disney is in development on a project called Tiki that, while not an adaptation of the theme park attraction, is "merely an action-adventure that mixes in Polynesian mythology." So, in essence, inspired heavily by the Enchanted Tiki Room, as the writers' even admit. The screenplay is by Ahmet Zappa, son of the legendary Frank Zappa, and his writing partner Michael Wilson, but no director is attached yet.

Michelle Pfeiffer & Robert De Niro Celebrating 'New Year's Eve'
Though the end of 2010 is right around the corner, New Line is more concerned with the end of 2011 as they prepare Garry Marshall's ensemble romantic comedy New Year's Eve. "Glee" star Lea Michele & teenage actress Abigail Breslin are already onboard the project, with a few more big actors joining the growing cast today. THR reports Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer are negotiating to join the cast. In addition, Hilary Swank and Ashton Kutcher are circling roles as well. In case you don't remember, the film follows a group of lovelorn New Yorkers as they navigate their way through romance during one fine New Year's Eve.

Watch: Another Theatrical 'Voyage of the Dawn Treader' Trailer
"We have nothing, if not belief." Fox has debuted yet another full-length theatrical trailer via Yahoo for The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader, which arrives in theaters in 3D in only 31 more days. We've already seen at least three full trailers for this movie already! Not that it looks bad or anything, I actually think it looks pretty damn good, I'm just tired of seeing huge trailers when I'd rather just watch the movie at this point. But if you're excited and/or need any more convincing that this might actually be worth seeing, then check out the final trailer below. Oh and you can also hear Simon Pegg's voice as Reepicheep!

J Blakeson to Helm Jonathan Nolan-Written 'Hell & Gone' for WB
This is definitely a project we should be keeping our eye on from now on. Heat Vision reports that upcoming British filmmaker J Blakeson, who directed The Disappearance of Alice Creed, is in negotiations to direct a project called Hell and Gone at Warner Bros. Not only is that a fantastic title for a movie, but apparently it's a Titanic-like historical tragedy and love story revolving around the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. Best of all, Jonathan Nolan, brother of Christopher Nolan and co-writer of The Prestige and The Dark Knight, is behind the Hell and Gone screenplay. What did I tell you, this sounds like a hell of a movie in the making.

Paramount's 'Dune' Adaptation in Trouble, Seeking New Director
Did anyone see this coming? Deadline just published a story about how Paramount is into some deep water over troubles getting their Dune adaptation together. Apparently the rights holders "won't grant another option extension," so they've got until "next spring" to set a start date and be "absolutely confident" in the project, or they'll lose the option. We thought Taken director Pierre Morel was on-board and ready to go with his version, but Deadline says "producers Kevin Misher and Richard P. Rubinstein are going out to directors today to create a new movie out of the 1965 book." They've got a script, but need a new director.

Matthew Vaughn, Danny Boyle Desired for Revived 'Oldboy' Redo
Remember back when there was a remake of Park Chan-wook's Oldboy, or rather a "new adaptation" of the graphic novel, in the works with Will Smith and Steven Spielberg behind it? After we heard about legal troubles that might prevent the film from getting off the ground, the project was declared dead a few months later. However, a tweet from Pajiba says a new draft of the script from Mark Protosevich (I Am Legend, The Cell) has Mandate Pictures all abuzz. Apparently they're taking the project back to Spielberg, but are also looking at Matthew Vaughn (Kick-Ass) as a possibility to direct, and Danny Boyle (127 Hours) as a back-up.

First Beautiful Poster for Cary Fukunaga's New 'Jane Eyre' Arrives
Now this is how you create a great poster! Focus Features has just unveiled a teaser poster on Facebook (via The Playlist) for Sin Nombre director Cary Fukunaga's new take on the Charlotte Brontë classic Jane Eyre. We've been hearing about this adaptation for a while, as Fukunaga is focusing "on the more gothic elements of the classic 19th century story." Starring in the lead is the immensely talented and cute-as-a-button Mia Wasikowska, seen above (in an early promo photo) and below on the poster as the titular Jane Eyre. This is only an early teaser poster, as we've still got a ways to go before this Jane Eyre hits theaters next March.

Rumor: Jeremy Renner to Lead 'Escape from New York' Remake
Here's a big update for the rumor mill concerning a long developing remake. We've already heard that The Crazies director Breck Eisner would helm the remake of John Carpenter's gritty action flick Escape from New York. Though the script was once a little too expensive to produce and didn't nail the subtle humor and bad-ass nature of convict-turned-hero Snake Plissken, screenwriter Allan Loeb came up with a new draft that fixed both issues. We haven't heard any solid information on who would step into the boots once filled by Kurt Russell, but Bloody Disgusting has heard Jeremy Renner (The Hurt Locker) is in talks to take the role.
