Watch: Three Awesome New TV Spots for the Coen Bros' True Grit

True Grit TV Spots

Hot damn this looks so awesome! Paramount just debuted three TV spots for the Coen Brothers' True Grit today just before Thanksgiving to give those of you stuffed with delicious turkey something to watch. Thanks to Awards Daily for finding YouTube embeds. True Grit is one of the few films left this year that I absolutely can't wait to see (and haven't yet). Jeff Bridges, Hailee Steinfeld, Josh Brolin & Matt Damon star in this PG-13 gritty Coen Brothers western. There's definitely a lot of Oscar potential with this too, another big reason why I can't wait to see it. My favorite one is #3 at the bottom, just so Inception-like intense. Enjoy!

Disney's Count Up Video for Tangled: Their 50th Animated Movie

Tangled

Arriving in theaters everywhere this week is Disney's Tangled (watch a trailer), not only a wonderful new Disney movie, but also their 50th animated motion picture. That is impressive, but most of all they've left an unforgettable legacy, as Disney animated movies will remain some of the greatest ever made. Disney Animation whipped up a fun "count up" video reminding you of all 50 of their animated films, leading up to Tangled. Not only is just a great video to watch, but this gives me the opportunity to mention Tangled again and just how much I love it. I saw it again last night and it really is quite wonderful. Watch the video below!

Stephen King Picks His Top 10 of 2010 Already - Let Me In is #1!

Let Me In / Stephen King

It's a yearly tradition (see last year's) for legendary author Stephen King to publish his always strange yet fantastic list of favorite films from the past year, mostly because he chooses some very peculiar films, 2010 being no different. King just published his list in the latest ssue of Entertainment Weekly and SlashFilm got the scoop on what he chose. As expected, it's a very odd list, yet I'm going to have defend him on some of his choices - especially Matt Reeves' Let Me In being #1. I loved that movie and thought it was indeed a perfect counterpart to the Swedish version. Anyway, you can find the rest of King's 2010 list below, so check it out!

Familiar First Poster for Liam Neeson's Action Thriller 'Unknown'

Liam Neeson

We've already been given a promising action-packed trailer for Liam Neeson's thriller Unknown which aims to repeat the success of Taken with an early 2011 release. Now it looks like Warner Bros. is trying even harder to reel in the surprisingly large box office turnout from Neeson's ass-kicking venture with the first official poster for Unknown. Though Neeson does look fairly bad-ass, the inclusion of January Jones and Diane Kruger feels like a last minute addition to make the poster slightly different from either of these two posters for Taken. But the trailer looks good, and having read the script I can tell you there's plenty of action on the way.

Jeremy Renner Confirms Takeover of 'Mission: Impossible' Series

Jeremy Renner

Because of the lukewarm box office reception of this year's action comedy Knight and Day starring Tom Cruise, Paramount thought it best to bring in another young agent to work with Cruise's character Ethan Hunt for Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol and potentially take over the franchise. We already know that man is Jeremy Renner, but now, straight from the actor's mouth, we have some confirmation that the plan is for Renner to relieve Tom Cruise of his IMF duties. The actor recently spoke to MTV and confirmed the plans for the franchise to fall into his lap, but there are no solid plans for another new sequel just yet.

Mark Wahlberg Reteaming with David O. Russell for 'Uncharted'

Nathan Drake / Mark Wahlberg

Though he may not be lined up to star in the impending remake of The Crow any longer, it looks like Mark Wahlberg will be the hero of another proposed franchise coming from a video game adaptation. We already know that David O. Russell is writing and directing the video game adaptation of Uncharted: Drake's Fortune for Columbia Pictures, so it's not entirely surprising that Wahlberg recently revealed to MTV that he'll be re-teaming with Russell for a fourth time and leading the adaptation as Nathan Drake. In addition, the actor also adds some weight to some wild casting rumors of a couple interesting actors coming aboard the project as well.

Mysterious Neill Blomkamp Viral Video Found in 'Wired' for iPad

Neill Blomkamp Viral Video

That new Apollo 18 poster isn't the only mysterious thing out there today. Last night, Peter from SlashFilm called me and told me he found an odd video randomly linked in-between pages of the latest issue of Wired magazine on the iPad (the digital app version of it). The page plays a video (embedded below from YouTube) that has no description or title. Our only hint is a "Video By: Neill Blomkamp" tag in the magazine. So this is some new video by Blomkamp, director of District 9, involving a creepy mutated creature? Is it a viral for a new movie or some other web project? Watch the video below and read on for hints at what this might be.

Check Out a Quick 'Tron Legacy' Featurette About the Vehicles!

Tron Legacy Vehicles

There are 24 days left and counting until Tron Legacy hits theaters. Now I'm trying not to spoil too much footage too early, but if you need something to keep you excited through Thanksgiving, this is the featurette to watch. Disney unveiled a short two-minute video on UGO talking about the vehicles in Tron Legacy with director Joe Kosinski and actors Jeff Bridges and Olivia Wilde. They talk about the inspiration behind them and how many cool vehicles there are. Just be weary, there's lots of footage in it, including a little too much of the light jets, so steer clear if you want to go in fresh this December. Otherwise, watch and enjoy!

Creepy First Poster for Timur Bekmambetov's 'Apollo 18' Appears

Apollo 18 Poster

I had a feeling this was coming soon. When it was announced that The Weinstein Company would be behind the Timur Bekmambetov produced found-footage sci-fi project called Apollo 18 about a moon landing that "never took place," they already set it for an early March 4th, 2011 release, even though I don't think they have even filmed it yet. So with a date that soon, I knew TWC would be teasing it early, and here we go. IGN debuted the teaser poster for Apollo 18, being directed by Gonzalo López, and as expected there's quite a bit of creepiness that comes with it. That tagline and that damn footprint or whatever it is. Check this out!

Hop Trailer

Oh boy, here we go. All you need to do is drop some Blur in your trailer and you've got a hit! The trailer debuted on Moviefone and can be watched below. The live-action cast includes James Marsden, Kaley Cuoco, Elizabeth Perkins, Chelsea Handler and Hugh Laurie, none of whom are seen this. What are your thoughts on Hop?
