Spike Jonze & Charlie Kaufman Reuniting for New Secret Project
Since the two have collaborated so well on mind-bending films like Adaptation and Being John Malkovich, it's pretty damn good to hear from 24 Frames that writer Charlie Kaufman and director Spike Jonze are looking to work together again. The duo are currently shopping around a new pitch (there is no script yet), but the plot is being kept under tight wraps. As of now, the project is being taken to independent financiers in hopes of getting the production off the ground first. Since Kaufman and Jonze don't really have anything officially lined up as their next projects, a reunion of these two brilliant cinematic minds is quite exciting.

Watch: Bradley Cooper is Addicted in First Full 'Limitless' Trailer
"I was blind, but now I see." You know that movie we've been getting drug samples for (you probably don't), well this is the trailer for it. Relativity Media has debuted the first full-length trailer on Apple for Limitless, directed by Neil Burger (The Illusionist), starring Bradley Cooper, Robert De Niro, Abbie Cornish and Anna Friel. Cooper stars as a copywriter who learns about the special NZT drug that provides him with a perfect body and superhuman mental abilities, but there is always a catch. It's an interesting premise, but it all looks so plain, unoriginal, not futuristic enough, like it lacks a real edge to it. What do you guys think?

Another Cool Teaser Poster for Greg Mottola's Alien Comedy 'Paul'
We've already been given one teaser poster with the sexually provocative tagline, "Who's up for the a close encounter?" but now a new poster for Greg Mottola's road trip comedy Paul tells us exactly just how much of a problem the titular alien character (voiced by Seth Rogen) might be. Casting Tidbits: Tom Cruise, Zac Efron, Halle Berry & Justin Long
Well, isn't that a pretty picture. Santa rolling down the block in a Panzer! Well kids, I certainly hope you have been good this year, cause it looks like Santa just took out the Casting Tidbits. Incoming! First up, EW confirms that Tom Cruise, who was previously rumored for a part in the adaptation of the stage musical Rock of Ages, is now in talks for a role. It's not clear if it's the same bartender role who belts out 80's hair rock, but we'll find out sooner or later. In addition, it sounds like Gwyneth Paltrow fresh off her singing performances in 'Glee" and Country Strong has also been offered an unknown role in the musical from Hairspray director Adam Shankman.

Legendary 'Pink Panther' Creator Blake Edwards Has Died at 88
Though people may not be a fan of the recent film adaptations of The Pink Panther featuring Steve Martin as bumbling French detective Inspector Clouseau, those films are merely the tip of a much more impressive iceberg in the history of comedy on film. Therefore, it is sad to hear Variety's report that Blake Edwards, the creator and writer/director of many films in the iconic film series, has passed away at age 88. Along with crafting no less than six films with Peter Sellers as the infamous Inspector Clouseau, the writer/director has left his mark on cinema with various other projects and even more late, great talents from decades past.

Interview: Tron Legacy's Cutting-Edge Director Joseph Kosinski
No matter what happens this weekend he's going to be known forever as the man who brought back Tron 28 years later. Not only did he bring back Jeff Bridges and Bruce Boxleitner, he created a stunning new world, just like Steve Lisberger did in 1982, then he brought on Daft Punk for a score unlike anything we've ever heard. His name is Joseph Kosinski (above) and believe it or not, this 36-year-old filmmaker is directing his first feature-length film, and it's called Tron Legacy. After three years of waiting, I finally got to speak with Joe, as he's known, on phone about all things Tron Legacy. This is a good one guys, you must read on!

Miramax & Weinstein Co Partner for Bad Santa, Rounders Sequels
The new Miramax already wants to make a name for itself. We knew it was coming, with the World Series of Poker still as popular as ever, an (unnecessary) sequel to Rounders would eventually rear its ugly head. Miramax and The Weinstein Company (TWC) today announced an agreement to create sequels to some of Miramax's best-known movies. The first films to be produced under the agreement will be sequels to Bad Santa, Rounders and Shakespeare in Love. Other potential "sequels & TV projects": Bridget Jones’s Diary, Copland, From Dusk Till Dawn, Swingers, Clerks, Shall We Dance and Amityville Horror. Whoa!

2011 Screen Actors Guild Awards Nominees Have Been Unveiled
The nominees for the 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards have just been announced today. Yet another awards show in the very top tier (which also includes the Golden Globes and Academy Awards) is the Screen Actors Guilds Awards, where the actors themselves choose the best performances from amongst their peers. These nominees are usually very similar to those at the Oscars, so this may be a good indication. The two films with the most nominations are The King's Speech and The Fighter, but their choices this year are damn good, exactly what I expected and wanted to see. Check out a full list of film nominations below.

Goro Miyazaki Directing Latest Ghibli Movie 'Kokuriko-Zaka Kara'
Gather 'round Studio Ghibli fans! It was just announced by the legendary Japanese animation studio, as reported on Anime News Network (via SlashFilm), that their newest feature-length film is an adaptation of Chizuru Takahashi and Tetsurō Sayama's manga Kokuriko-Zaka Kara (see Wikipedia). Sacha Baron Cohen as Racist, Corrupt, Spanish Cop in 'Torrente'?
Here in the United States, plenty of people are familiar with the vulgar stylings of Borat and Brüno thanks to the comedic, chameleon antics of Sacha Baron Cohen. But around the world, other nations have their own gross and offensive characters that even have their own franchises. So it's interesting that 24 Frames reports Cohen may be taking a crack at a Hollywood version of Torrente, a dark action comedy franchise following the antics of drunk, corrupt, racist and very obese Spanish police officer Jose Luis Torrente. Over in Spain, a series of three of these movies have been hits at the box office with a fourth in the works.

Must Watch: First Beautiful Trailer for Terrence Malick's Tree of Life
Along with a nice teaser poster showing lots of skin (no, not like that dirty minds), the trailer for Terrence Malick's long awaited film The Tree of Life is finally here, via Apple. While the trailer has been attached to copies of Black Swan in limited release, this is the first time an official high def version of the trailer has been made available online. The beautiful trailer doesn't give us much of an idea of the story just yet, but the imagery and poetry of youth, growth and life is enough to get me excited. Featuring Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and a breakout performance from Jessica Chastain, this drama looks like it'll be well worth the long wait.
