Brand New Wonderful Mini-Featurette for Pixar's Toy Story 3

Disney has debuted a one-minute mini-featurette for Pixar's Toy Story 3 titled "Drawn to Animation." It looks like it aired on the Disney Channel, but I'm not entirely sure, since it's just a straight YouTube upload (via SlashFilm). Besides seeing the awesome Lee Unkrich talk about what they're doing in this new sequel, we finally get our first look at the brand new character of Mr. Pricklepants. Voiced by actor Timothy Dalton, Mr. Pricklepants is a hedgehog toy with thespian tendencies. Another big new character we've heard about previously (and even had a cameo in Up) is the teddy bear Lotso, but we still haven't seen him yet. Enjoy!

Woody, Buzz, and the rest of their toy-box friends are all dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, departs for college. Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, and John Ratzenberger will all be back.

Toy Story 3 is being directed by Lee Unkrich, another one of Pixar's creative masterminds who previously co-directed Toy Story 2, Monsters, Inc., and Finding Nemo. The screenplay was written by Michael Arndt, the Oscar winning screenwriter of Little Miss Sunshine who is a newcomer to the Pixar family. Disney is bringing Pixar's Toy Story 3 to theaters everywhere in digital 3D starting on June 18th, 2010 next year.
