Sad news to report today. CNN has confirmed with a publicist that actor Gary Coleman has died today at age 42. Coleman died of a brain hemorrhage at a Provo, Utah hospital, Friday afternoon. Earlier reports said that Coleman had a fall at his home in Utah and slipped into a coma earlier in the day and was living on life support. The news is still developing, so expect to hear more updates on this tragic news throughout the day. Coleman hasn't been doing much on screen acting recently, but did appear in David Zucker's An American Carol comedy as "Bacon Stains Malone " a few years back. Head to CNN for the latest details on the news.
Coleman's acting career started in the late 70s and early 80s as a child actor on NBC's "Diff'rent Strokes." He's also appeared in numerous films like Jimmy the Kid, Fox Hunt, Shafted!, The Flunky, Dirty Work and Church Ball. Standing at 4 feet, 8 inches tall, he was probably best known for being a funny celebrity more than an actor, which is why it's sad to see him pass away so early in his life. However, in the past few years, things haven't been going well for him, not only with sicknesses but disorderly conduct charges and reckless driving. Coleman will certainly be remembered, probably most for his catchphrase "Whatchoo talkin' 'bout?"
