Check This Out: The Wormhole Coffeehouse with a DeLorean

As we glide into the weekend, I thought I'd feature a cool little video look at a coffehouse located in Chicago (map) called Wormhole Coffee (website located at thewormholecoffee.com). This was found by my buddy Jay West on Facebook and actually comes from the local site Chicago Now. As WGN-TV's Marcus Leshock explains: "I found that the Wormhole isn't just a Back to the Future coffee bar - it's a 1980's pop culture explosion." So he went there and shot a video of the place and now it's all up on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. And if you're in or around the Chicago area, you already know you need to take a visit to this place.

Not only does Wormhole Coffee have a Back to the Future DeLorean time machine parked inside, they've got other assorted geek artifacts like "a Top Gun poster, Star Wars action figures, an Atari 100." I spied a Tron poster, some Goonies art, an awesome model Imperial Shuttle, TMNT plushes, that Metropolis coffee (what?!) and so much more. As they said, it's a "trip back in time to circa 1984" for sure... and I want to go there! Ghostbusters, too! Props to "leshock" and Wormhole for their passion for all things geek and movies. Next time I'm up in Chicago, I'm visiting this place for some coffee! Maybe we'll even host a meet-up there?

Found that place a few weeks ago. Coffee aint too shabby either. They've got a replica (or is it real ?) Flux Capacitor too.

Its a good atmosphere. i read this article last night and it turns out that shop is on my bike route to work. i stopped in on my way out and grabbed a Vegan Chocolate Muffin. pretty darn good. and the Delorian is pretty bad ass too.

Can't really see much from Street View, but this is a great idea. I had the same sort of idea for an 80's themed café/club about nine or 10 years ago.
