Recently producer Graham King has established a solid working relationship with A-list actress Angelina Jolie. Not only is his GK Films banner financing her new thriller The Tourist, but he's also producing the Bosnian War love story for her directorial debut. Now it looks like he's lining up yet another project for her as Deadline reports GK Films is developing a big-screen adaptation of the British miniseries Unforgiven with writer Christopher McQuarrie (Valkyrie) penning the script specifically for Jolie to star in. The story follows a woman as she rejoins society after serving a 15-year jail sentence for murdering two policemen.
Apparently the deaths happened when the policemen came to evict her family from their farmhouse. Upon her release from prision she faces the daunting task of rebuilding her life while continuing to be haunted by the ghosts of her past, as two sons from one of her victims plot their revenge. However, Jolie doesn't like to commit to a project until the script is done (honestly, we can't blame her), so it doesn't sound like this is a done deal even if the project is being fast-tracked. In addition, Jolie is a busy woman with quite the sizable potential project load on her slate. We'll be waiting to see which flicks actually stick with Jolie in the future.
