Crazy Violent New Red Band Trailer for Danny Trejo's Machete

Although we've seen an "illegal" trailer and a very badass official trailer for the Robert Rodriguez produced grindhouse movie Machete, starring Danny Trejo as well as Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Cheech Marin, and Michelle Rodriguez, this newest red band trailer is frickin' off the hook! Just wait until you see what Machete does with some guy's intestines, holy f**kin' crap! This is one crazy, awesome, insane trailer, that only makes me want to see this movie even more. I'm sure The Expendables will also be wild, but this looks totally badass, too. There's plenty of nudity, violence, gore and so much more, so be prepared & have fun!

After being betrayed by the organization who hired him, an ex-Federale named Machete (played by Danny Trejo) launches a brutal rampage of revenge against his former boss. Jessica Alba looks so awesome, too!

Machete is co-directed by both Robert Rodriguez and his long-time editor Ethan Maniquis as his very first directorial debut. The screenplay was written by Robert Rodriguez and is an expanded version of the "fake" Machete trailer Rodriguez made for the release of Grindhouse in 2007. He finally got a greenlight last year and shot this down in Austin, TX last year with quite an impressive cast. 20th Century Fox will be bringing Machete to theaters on Labor Day Weekend, September 3rd this fall. Can't wait to see it! Still excited?

Tarantino doesn't make exploitation movies. He's a fan, but that's not what he makes. He makes movies that a) all weave into the same history and 2) use common exploitation tropes to set the mood and style but not dictate the story. His stuff is like the best of both worlds, whereas Rodriguez falls much more into pure exploitation and goes deeper with every film. I want to see Tarantino do a western. I want to see Rodriguez do a biker movie. This movie looks bad-ass, tho.

@#19 Tarintino's involvment with Sukiyaki Western Django minor, as he merely had a cameo role. Takashi Miike was/is the director of that film. If you (and #14) want to see what a western film would be like from Tarantino, the closest you will get thus far would be Kill Bill Vol. 2. Vol. 2 was a tribute to spaghetti westerns, while Vol. 1 was more a tribute to martial arts flicks. Regardless, a real western (spaghetti or not) from Tarantino would no doubt be incredible.

I hope this is good, at least it will be very gory, I just hope it's not all in the trailer here. It has a cheap, youtube-made movie feel to the whole thing, and I do like the FX, no matter how cheap they look, they do look great, very visceral. That being said I hated "Predators", although I don't know how much direct involvement Rodriguez had with that film, I'm guessing a lot.

#24......after watching this trailer - expendables looks like a "made-for-TV" disney movie. and WTF is "violence for hipsters"?? #16 is right - kick-ass was great, violent fun. machete is one of those rare movies where one aspect (in this case- violence) can make the movie worth seeing. DT running through a hallway pulling some guys intestines out was a "holy shit" moment. it's got a good, eclectic cast and nonstop, over-the-top violence. this is going to be a wild ride
