Since skyrocketing onto the scene with The Foot Fist Way, the hilarious Danny McBride has had a rather fruitful career in some big comedies alongside established comedic talents like Will Ferrell, Seth Rogen and Ben Stiller. With his Rough House production banner, co-founded with longtime friends and collaborators Jody Hill and David Gordon Green, he's been able to line up plenty more projects down the line. THR has news on yet another comedy for McBride as Mandate Pictures has picked up Bullies, an original comedy based on an idea from McBride with writers Andrew Mogel and Jarrad Paul (Yes Man) penning the script.
The story focuses on two brothers who have bullied people their whole lives and finally get what's coming to them. I'd imagine the brothers fall into some sort of situation where they're getting bullied, or maybe those they bullied have formed some sort of club where they've been planning their revenge for years. Though, the ultimate comeuppance for the bullies would be a trip to prison where they discover firsthand why you don't drop the soap in the shower or let a big beefy prisoner call you "Sally." I'm sure we'll find out more details on the project as development moves forward, but in the meantime, we can look forward to seeing McBride in the second season of HBO's comedy series "Eastbound & Down" or in one of his other upcoming projects.
