Danny Trejo and Erin Cummings are Bad Bikers in 'Tarantula'

Earlier this month the grindhouse inspired blood bath that was Machete gave Danny Trejo the opportunity to kick some asses using a machine gun equipped motorcycle. Now it looks like he'll get another opportunity to look like a killer biker all over again as Heat Vision reports Trejo and the gorgeous Erin Cummings (of "Spartacus: Blood and Sand") have joined the cast of indie thriller Tarantula. The film follows a woman (Cummings) who breaks away from a tight-knit biker gang to start a new life but finds escape isn't as easy as she thought. The leader of the gang (Trejo) is looking for her as well as revenge for his brother's death.

Sounds like they fucked with the wrong Mexican...again. However, it doesn't sound like that great of a concept. On the other hand, Trejo on-screen as a brute force to be reckoned with just has a special kind of appeal. Oley Sassone is directing the film, and with credits like "Xena: Warrior Princess" and "Hercules: The Legendary Journey" under his belt, you know he'll bring something "special" too. Meanwhile, the script comes not from a writer, but from John Kersey, longtime construction coordinator on shows such as “CSI: Miami” and “Providence." Doesn't inspire too much confidence, but I guess we all have to start somewhere. This is just a low budget thriller, so I suppose there might be some fun to be had once this hits theaters. Anyone interested?
