First Look: Jeff Bridges as Old Kevin Flynn in Tron: Legacy

Jeff Bridges, winner of both a Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild Award and now an Oscar nominee for his performance in Crazy Heart, stars in Tron: Legacy, a 3D high-tech adventure set in a digital world that’s unlike anything ever captured on the big screen. Technically if you've seen the Comic-Con test footage then you've already seen a first look at Jeff Bridges as Kevin Flynn in this, but this is a new shot from the actual movie. And I call him Old Flynn because remember there's a Young Flynn avatar running wild in the Tron-verse! Check out that rad light disc strapped to his back. Wonder if he'll whip that off for a weapon?
Sam Flynn (Garrett Hedlund), the tech-savvy son of Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges), looks into his father's disappearance and is pulled into the digital world of Tron where his father has been living for 25 years.
Tron Legacy is directed by first-time filmmaker Joseph Kosinski. The screenplay was co-written by Adam Horowitz ("Lost"), Richard Jefferies (Blood Tide, Living Hell), Edward Kitsis ("Lost"), and the director of the original movie, Steven Lisberger. This first got the greenlight last year because this early teaser played well at Comic-Con. Disney is bringing Tron Legacy to theaters in 3D starting on December 17th, 2010.
