The Good, The Bad, The Weird Trailer

Today's trailer is for Kim Ji-woon's Korean action extravaganza The Good, The Bad, The Weird starring Song Kang-ho (The Host), Lee Byung-hun (G.I. Joe), and Jung Woo-sung (The Restless). Although this first played at film festivals two years ago, and already hit DVD in many countries, it's just barely getting to US theaters this year. The Good, The Bad, The Weird is one of my favorite action-western-comedies that's a lot of fun. I gave it a 9.5 out of 10 in my review and I'm considering seeing it again up on the big screen when it opens. Even if you've seen it (or own it on DVD already), this trailer is fun to watch it again, so check it out!

The 30ties in the Mandchurian desert. The Weird steals a map from a Japanese official. The Bad is paid to get it back. The Good is a bounty hunter who tracks them down. Who will stand in the end as the winner?

The Good, The Bad, and The Weird is directed by Korean filmmaker Jee-woon Kim of A Tale of Two Sisters and A Bittersweet Life previously. This first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival back in 2008 and it also played at many, many other film festivals worldwide. IFC Films is finally bringing The Good, The Bad, and The Weird to limited theaters as well as VOD on April 23rd next month, before arriving on DVD. Go see it!

Looks pretty tight. I'll watch any Korean movie with Song Kang-ho. I loved him in Thirst and The Host.

This movie's crazy fun and the first trailer you guys posted for it was better. This didn't show enough of The Bad who was my favorite character in the film, but all three of the leads are damn good.

its not a kung fu western. lol, its a western with asian actors. lol. This was a really great movie. its sad people rarely know about it in america. Just shows how late america is with international cinema. i swear, america isn't the only country making movies. Especially with all these remakes and crappy movie versions of tv shows... seriously? some of the most original films these days come from the international scene. And this is an exceptional film.

This is one of my faves too. It's hilarious, and has crazy action although the chase scene at the end is a bit excessive.

hey what do you mean that LBH plays same character again and again? Before this movie he was like romance-only actor. In this movie, he is totally evil villian with trauma of past. It is not like Storm Shadow. Na...Just watch. You'll see the clear difference. In my point of view, LBH is the best actor in this movie. SKH is okay but he is the one who only has one acting pattern. Bet he does not know how to change himself.
