Intense Full-Length Theatrical Trailer for Angelina Jolie's Salt

You think everyone is who they say they are? Sony has premiered a full theatrical trailer for Salt, starring Angelina Jolie and directed by Phillip Noyce, their big spy action movie that's hitting this summer. We last featured the teaser trailer in November so its been a while since we've seen any new footage for this and I've got to say, I'm totally sold. I don't expect this to be one of my favorite movies of the year, but it looks like an incredibly intense and exciting. I'm also glad to see Chiwetel Ejiofor in this, he's one of my favorite actors. All that we've seen so far looks pretty damn good, I'm ready for this to hit theaters now. What about you?

Salt is directed by veteran Australian filmmaker Phillip Noyce, of Echoes of Paradise, Dead Calm, Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, The Saint, The Bone Collector, and Catch a Fire previously. The script was written by Kurt Wimmer (Equilibrium, Street Kings, Law Abiding Citizen) and Brian Helgeland (L.A. Confidential, Conspiracy Theory, The Postman, Mystic River, Man on Fire, Taking of Pelham 123, Green Zone, Robin Hood). Sony is bringing Salt to theaters everywhere on July 23rd this summer. So who's in?

No i DONT find it funny when skiny tall Girl is runing away from FBI, CIA, etc. its just... you know, she is a woman NOT A HARRISON FORD! so it looks really crapy and "wow she is a superwoman, wow she is so sexy so cleaver, everyone is dump but she is the best and she beat up everyone with her tiny hands wowowowow

I think this could be pretty cool, I dig spy movies. And the action scenes in this look totally back breaking insane.

What sexists we have here.....Harrison Ford is an old geezer...there was no need to bring out that last Indiana Jones except to make money and intro Shia as a possible Indy for the next generation..... Re: should have been a male lead.....well it was supposed to be until Tom "Thumb" Cruise decided not to....in this genre there are no believable female action stars (don't even mention Megan Faux spelling intended) except for Angelina and she's kicked A$$ as Laura Croft, Mrs. Smith and Fox from Wanted....This movie is going to do great with the men and women and I hope it will turn into a franchise for Angelina..... Tired of seeing Will Smith, Matt Damon, Robert Downey Jr. or Tom Cruise etc saving mankind.....here's a chance for Angelina to save......WOMENKIND!!!!!!

I have no problems with a strong female lead, and Jolie is the perfect actress for it. Tomb Raider was a good role for her, gorgeous, yet very strong and confident. She is a tough ass chick, little doubt that she could kick my ass.

Ok, I'm not opposed to women lead if they make it realistic. I was just saying I wish THIS movie had a male lead. It doesn't help that seeing Angelina Jolie in anything leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Don't care about the gender of the lead... i DO like the fact that the story could of worked for EITHER sex so that's a lil progress.... I was a huge fan of "The Long Kiss Goodnight" and Angela Bassett in "Strange Days" so seeing female kick-ass heroes is cool for me.....

I do like movies when we got strong lead woman, its nothing bad at all, but in this movie you know, all that RUNING all over the city, by skinny girl, it just doesnt fit for ME p.s. that russian guy in trailer is AWESOME, he is sooo calm down but very well played, dont you think?

I smell a huge plot twist brewing..... Despite her good looks, Jolie has great screen presence and comes off very strong in her performances, which is why she works as an action hero.

You guys saying this needed a male lead are dumb....it would be the same old spy thriller bs if it was male thats what changes everything is a chick kicking some ass. But they gave away way too much in the trailer again, seriously feel like Ive seen the movie already, since when is everyone all of the sudden bothered by unrealism in movies? I am also glad Ejiofor is in this hes a great friggin actor. Also what #18 said there are woman operatives too its not like badassery is only for the dudes, any amount of training can over do lack of strength or size. If I didnt know you guys were just being plain dumb Id think most of you are sexist as hell...guess thats kinda the same thing though.

I like Angelina Jolie, I just wish she would gain some weight. >.< She's sooo skinny. A few pounds would fill out her face nicely. This looks good though.

I love the rewind effect and how it hints at giving us something different. The tagline invites us to question Salt so the big mystery must involve more than whether or not she is a sleeper spy. Making it a female lead makes the movie more intriguing and opens up different angles. And Jolie from the trailers has successfully made the role her own. We have an obviously highly trained and skilled female spy whose identity and intentions are suspect but whose record and actions are giving off conflicting signals. Looks like it could be very good.

Angelina Jolie and Michelle Yeogh should make an action movie together...! Just a thought... Although, it would have been more fun to see Cruise in this and Jolie in Knight and Day with Diaz! Hey, get your mind outta the gutter there young man!

Maybe the trailer gave alot away., maybe not. Maybe they want you to think they gave alot away. She kicks friggin' ass and i would like to see more from her and more from hollywood in this genre. She fits in this role well and hopefully like in the movie Wanted the end will twist a little.

Really!?! #43......You’re going to compare Sigourney Weaver to Jolie when everyone is arguing about a spy film. Sigourney Weaver, although talented and experienced, has had no movies with a spy theme in it from what I know. Also Aliens 1, 2, & 3 don’t relate in this genre. From hunting ghosts to aliens in space, this is not equal to a spy flick. If you can a movie where she was a spy please prove me wrong but as for now I will pick Jolie.
