Jenna Fischer Joins The Farrelly Brothers' Comedy Hall Pass

Jenna Fischer

With all the sexy, half-naked women on the covers of magazines who look like they were picked up straight from the beach, it's refreshing to get an actress every now and then who is classically beautiful. For a long time, Kate Winslet has taken post at the forefront of my mind for resident, classically beautiful lady, but recently, Jenna Fischer (of NBC's "The Office") has nudged her way into that category, so I couldn't be happier with THR's report that Fischer has signed on to star in the Farrelly Brothers' comedy Hall Pass. She will play Owen Wilson's wife who gives him a "hall pass" to get himself some sexual action on the side.

In the story, the idea catches on fast as Wilson's best friend, played by SNL's Jason Sudeikis, also gets a pass from his wife (not yet cast) until things get a little out of hand when the wives begin to wield the power of the mighty hall pass. This comedy has orgy written all over it. The script was written by Pete Jones, and has been touched up by Kevin Barnett and Peter and Bobby Farrelly. It would be nice to see the Farrelly Brothers return to their comedy roots that audiences once loved in There's Something About Mary, Dumb & Dumber and even Me, Myself & Irene, but it's been over a decade since those flicks were released, and I just don't know if they have it in them anymore. What do you guys think?

These guys have only made one decent movie in years, and even Mary is overrated. Good luck with the Stooges movie. You're gonna need it.
