Kevin Spacey Joining the Cast of New Line's Horrible Bosses

June 28, 2010

Kevin Spacey

The cast for this comedy keeps filling up with top of the line actors. THR/Variety both confirm that Kevin Spacey is the latest to join the cast of Horrible Bosses, the New Line project being directed by The King of Kong's Seth Gordon. The comedy centers on three best friends who, frustrated by their jobs, come to the conclusion the only solution is to kill one another's bosses. Actors Jason Bateman, Charlie Day (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and Jason Sudiekis (seen on "SNL") have been cast as the three friends, with Colin Farrell and Jennifer Aniston playing two of the three bosses, with Spacey playing the third and final boss.

The final boss is Bateman's boss, a "master manipulator with an attractive wife." The role was described as meaty and integral to the movie and New Line was in talks with several other actors, like Tom Cruise, Philip Seymour Hoffman and Jeff Bridges, but they got Spacey signed on. The cast also includes Jamie Foxx as a scam artist named Motherf**ker Jones. Horrible Bosses starts shooting in Los Angeles next month and will probably hit theaters next summer. This seems like it has the potential to be a great comedy and I'm looking forward to it, I just hope its not as bland and forgettable as Seth Gordon's last comedy, Four Christmases.

This is gonna be awesome! I would have liked to see Hoffman try, but we all know spacey is gonna knock this one out of the park!
  • Four Christmases wasn't as bad as everyone says. Too much slapstick, but I really enjoyed Favreau and Duvall. My family enjoyed it a lot if I recall, but not anywhere near as good as King of Kong.
