Kristen Stewart Will Star in Her Mother's Bizarre Flick 'K-11'

I'm always somewhat fascinated when show business becomes the go-to career choice for several members of a family. The Baldwins being the most extreme example, I'm curious about any animosity or jealousy that may spawn when one is successful and another is not. One such family unit doesn't have to worry about that too much as BangShowbiz reports actress Kristen Stewart will star in K-11, a film written and directed by her mother, script supervisor Jules Mann-Stewart. The project is so bizarre and interesting that Stewart says, "If she called me right now and said, 'We're making the movie,' I would be really excited." What is it?
Well last year, another Twilight actress, Nikki Reed, revealed to Ace Showbiz she's also set to star in the film and spilled the beans on the plot. It will tell the story behind the most bizarre unit in all of L.A. county lock-up, which houses transvestites, transsexuals, and the occasional high profile celebrity. Is this based on a real prison? Either way there's plenty of peculiar characters and both Reed and Stewart will be playing roles unlike anything they've ever done before. Reed elaborates on each of their characters in the movie:
My character is a male prostitute, and he goes in and out of the jail because it is comfortable to have a place to sleep and recoup and relax and have food and shelter - [when he] gets sent back out, there is a lot of underground drug stuff that is going on. [K-11] is a world in itself. There'll be a lot of prosthetics, makeup. I don't really have the most androgynous look, so that is going to be interesting. [My character] was born a man, but I never felt like a man - I always knew that I was a woman. I just was born with the wrong body parts.
[Stewart] doesn't have the same level of physical transformation as me, but she definitely came to the table with a plethora of ideas ... her character doesn't have facial hair or an Adam's apple [because] she is playing more of a boy.
Well that just sounds absolutely crazy. I'm not sure what exactly the tone of this film is supposed to be, but I can imagine it'll contain mostly dramatic set pieces. However, I wonder if K-11 will be presented as sort of a surreal lock-up or something that isn't as exaggerated. Apparently the film also stars Jason Mewes. Yeah, it just keeps sounding weirder and weirder. We have no clue if this is something that's going to happen soon or just an idea that Stewart has been talking about with no actual development plans. Either way, this is just too weird to forget about, so we'll keep you posted as more info becomes available. Anyone interested?
