MacGruber Viral Video? Or An Unfunny Wannabe SNL Short?

I've admitted that I actually enjoyed the trailer for MacGruber, Will Forte's SNL skit-turned-movie, even though I'm not a fan of SNL. Maybe I've just got some hope that it could be entertaining or maybe I was just told by the gorgeous cinematography and explosions (probably the latter, to be honest). Collider found this viral video for MacGruber that's a 38-second behind-the-scenes "short" titled Hotties with Bodies. And it sucks. It's just frickin' awful. I think they were trying to create a digital short and somehow the marketing execs at Universal thought it was good. But that's just my opinion. Others may find it funny? Take a look.

A comedy based on Will Forte's bumbling secret agent named MacGruber seen on "Saturday Night Live" whose lack of skill and abundance of personal problems serve as a detriment to him and those around him.

MacGruber is directed by fellow SNL star Jorma Taccone, who hasn't directed any feature films before this, but has directed numerous skits and digital shorts for "Saturday Night Live" over the years. The screenplay was co-written by Will Forte, Jorma Taccone, and John Solomon, another veteran SNL writer. Universal is bringing MacGruber to theaters everywhere starting on April 23rd. Did anyone laugh at this viral video?

DUDE it's the guy from Lonely Island. So yea it is hella funny. The guy is Jorma Taccone I think. But yea he is part of Lonely Island and the guy who wrote and directed McGruber. He is also a writer for SNL.

Not funny. I think the dude with the earphones is the MacGruber director. And the hotties voice guy sounds like Andy Samburg.

Im sorry but this show died when Farley, Hartman, Farrell and that whole early to late 90s crew died (sadly some of them literally). This show just isnt funny anymore....its needs to stop.

It's just Lonely Island/Jorma's YouTube account, so he can kinda post whatever. Look at the older videos of him just dancing on SNL's set. So it's not some viral marketing thing, just Jorma excited about making his movie.

The first mistake they made with this film was thinking that the people on SNL would deliver a good comedy. Where they ever might have gotten that idea is beyond me.
