Watch This: A Badass Japanese Trailer for The Last Airbender

Although we just posted a brand new trailer for M. Night Shyamalan's The Last Airbender a few days ago, fans have been emailing me left and right about some other trailer for The Last Airbender that comes from Japan. It's been officially dubbed 'badass' by anyone who has seen it, so I'm going to let that word stick this time. I was hesitant of how badass it would be, but after watching it, they're right, this is a badass trailer and there's some awesome new footage we haven't seen before. As expected, the more I see from this, the better it looks, and I hope it continues to make fans and non-fans alike more excited for it. Watch the trailer below!

The Last Airbender is directed by M. Night Shyamalan, of The Sixth Sense, Unbreakable, Signs, The Village, Lady in the Water, and The Happening previously. The screenplay was also written by M. Night Shyamalan while the story was co-written by Shyamalan and creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino. This is based on the popular Nickelodeon cartoon series Avatar: The Last Airbender that originally aired in 2005. Paramount is bringing The Last Airbender to theaters everywhere starting on July 2nd this summer.

Why haven't you posted the Kid's Choice TV Spot? It's just as badass! Features Aang and Zuko fight plus a glimpse of Appa.

#8 AAng is an Air nomad and all Air nomads have that tattoo on their Forehead and it glows when he activates The Avatar State which gives his all mighty power of all of the Past Avatar's. go to Wikipedia to get more in depth info

Yes, I'm back!loll! For those who still think that Appa is not in, you can freeze it @ 0.43s and you will see his beaver like tail -top left-...it's the same shot as the superbowl tv spot but in closer Not that "badass" loll! new footage only.

In the show the tattoo's were given to those deemed to be Airbending masters (which Aang was). Part of that was due to him being the Avatar, he had fully mastered Airbending (a lifetime achievement) by the time he was 12. In the movie I don't know how they are doing it. The movie tattoo's seem to be more in line with Knight's Indian heritage than just the standard blue arrow from the show.

Looks great! The trailer showed many stuff from the show. The only thing I'm worried about is that M. Night has made it too dark, because the original show is light hearted. Now, Aang looks sad all the time.

I of course don't know the actors just yet. But from the outset, it looks like this might have been done right. I hope M. Night makes up for his last movies. You have to admit in the series, Aang, seemed to be sad a lot of the time trying to find his way and place in life. It was such a great series.

This trailer creates a little more excitement for the movie, but I am still worried that M. Night will mess it up. I just saw one of my favorite cartoons in Dragonball Z messed up, I can not stand to see anther destroyed so soon
