[Rec] 2 Trailer

Ahhh! Anyone looking for a morning wake-up call? Just watch this! IGN has debuted a brand new official red band trailer for [Rec] 2, the Spanish sequel to the original horror film [Rec] from a few years back. It's not like we haven't seen this before, as this is the third time we've featured a trailer for [Rec] 2, but I feel like this is the most raw footage we've seen and damn does this look creepy as hell! I'd love to go watch this, but just like the original film, I'm not sure it'll ever come to the US on its own, only at a film festival, and that's a damn shame. Anyway, this is just an intense trailer that everyone needs to see anyway, so fire it up below!

Watch the brand new official UK red band trailer for [Rec] 2:

You can see the original teaser trailer for this from last year as well as a second follow-up teaser.

While you're at it, you might as well pick up the original [Rec] on DVD (via Amazon), as it was just finally officially released by Sony last year. This looks like it's a direct sequel to the original horror cult classic.

[Rec] 2 is both written and directed by Spanish filmmakers Jaume Balagueró (The Dark, Fragile) and Paco Plaza (Second Name, Werewolf Hunter), who worked together to direct the first [Rec] in 2007. In addition to Balagueró and Plaza, writer Manu Díez worked on this screenplay as well. [Rec] 2 is shot and ready to go, but doesn't have a US distributor yet. We'll let you know when or if it plays at any film festivals this year.

I've seen this movie last week. It's like the first one, just with a little bit more violence...like a any other sequel...

I like how the story progresses and it actually works really well as a sequel.

Magnet actually picked up the film for US distribution. So, at the very least we'll get a US Video on Demand release.

OOOO YEAH this is a good one. I realy loved this style, exactly what #2 mentioned, the progress, the way it's grew, more adrenalin every second. This look amazing!!!

I saw this a while back...very good movie and it puts a nice twist on the typical zombie formula and actually explains where the zombies came from. There will probably be a rec 3 too cause they left ALOT of room for it.

Saw this about a month ago, completely agree with #2.. and as #8 mentioned, Rec3 should be a slam dunk

I just watched this a few weeks ago, I loved it. I absolutely loved [REC] and i wasn't disappointed with its sequel.

Since Quarantine came from the original [rec] I'm sure they'll make a sequel to that...

ZOMBIE FILM? If I remember [Rec] or Quarantine correctly, those people were not zombies but rather rabid ones - infected with a mutated rabies - thus, the violent nature... geez!

[Rec] on Mar 30, 2010

so this is where Quarantine came from. Looks nice

No actually #13 REC2 reveals the true origin of the zombies and it aint no rabies.....I wont spoil it for you though seems like you havent seen it yet.

that trailer wasn't anything special. i liked [rec] and quarantine...........but, this just seems like more of the same. i'll check it out on dvd but i don't see the need for any excitement over this.

As a fan of the original REC, I did not like where they took this film. The ending, although twisted, is messy, and the story, disjointed at points.

I watched this last night...great follow up. I very sure they are going to make a quarantine 2 based off of this. Yeah the origins of the zombies was a good twist, I'll prolly watch this again this weekend

they are going to make a Quarantine 2 but its not going to be an exact remake of Rec 2. they didn't like where they took the story and want another take on it. which is good because rec 2 was terrible

DoomCanoe on Mar 31, 2010

rec 2 was fantastic. takes up seconds after the first.

The only thing I never get about these films is how the zombies always manage to take down SWAT teams etc. Highly trained paramilitaries or SAS and so on would take those zombies apart!
