Must Watch: First Teaser for Luc Besson's 'Adèle Blanc-Sec'

Last year we featured some photos from a new Luc Bession film called Les Aventures Extraordinaires d'Adèle Blanc-Sec, or just Adèle Blanc-Sec for short, about a young reporter named Adèle Blanc-Sec who happens to be some kind of female Indiana Jones-like French heroine of the early 20th century. Twitch discovered that there was a new trailer on AlloCine and it's pretty damn good. It's kind of creepy in Jurassic Park way and I love the build-up and the world Besson has created. This is just gorgeous. I'm so excited that Luc Besson is back! If you're intrigued in any way, check out this trailer, I guarantee you'll dig it - enjoy!

The story is about Adele Blanc-Sec (played by Louise Bourgoin), an "an intrepid young reporter" who will go to any lengths to achieve her aims, including sailing to Egypt to tackle mummies of all shapes and sizes. The odd thing is that IMDb calls this an animated movie "set in the early party of the 20th century and focused on a popular novelist and her dealings with would-be suitors, the cops, monsters, and other distractions." It's definitely not animated, though. She's fighting a pterodactyl in this because that's what she does in the comics this is based on. We're not sure when it's coming to the US, but we will be keeping our eye out for it!

I just wanted to say I love this Website and you and your guys do an amazing job. As for this preview? I have no idea what to expect. Looks like it could be entertaining, besides the whole part about being French.

Indiana Jones/Jumanji/Jurassic Park Sweet ill be watching this one for sure. Luc Besson does some great stuff as well etc. The Fifth Element, Leon (The Professional)

Les Aventures Extraordinaires d'Adèle Blanc-Sec. This Looks across between Indiana Jones type of film but with a Woman at the lead. Here's hope the Dub this film or add subtitles to it for English. Wow the mummy looks good the Hand coming out of the Coffin. I do like Luc Besson Films this I hope will get a wider Release.

I love Luc Besson's films! And this looks really entertaining and original. But I can't help but notice that it looks like it could be a Sci Fi channel original movie or something.

this looks like a cooler direction for him, might do what sherlock did to Ritchies work (bigger bolder more fantasy, etc..) I really dig all the different influences coming together, Very stylized and eccentric, I can get into that!

Adèle Blanc-Sec is a french comic book from the 70' and the teaser looks exactly like the comics ...

This trailer reminds me of the trailer for A Serious Man; with the repetitive sounds/ scenes, leading to an almost musical dialogue at the end.
