Terrence Malick's 'Tree of Life' Trailer Playing Before 'Black Swan'

December 1, 2010

Brad Pitt in The Tree of Life

Briefly: We've confirmed with Fox Searchlight that the first full trailer for Terrence Malick's The Tree of Life debuts in front of Darren Aronofsky's Black Swan this weekend. Boy is that a hell of a sweet deal if you catch Darren's brilliant new ballet thriller (that we all love). Tree of Life is Malick's long-delayed latest epic drama, due out next May 27th, starring Brad Pitt, Sean Penn and Jessica Chastain. We really have no clue what to expect, which is why we've been anxious to finally see a trailer. I asked when it's coming online, but was told that's still TBD - so you better get out to theaters (full city/theater listing) and see Black Swan!

  • a new Brad Pit movie? Great! and a drama? Fantastic. I love how Brad played in Legends of the Fall and I hope we will see him cry and suffer and fall in love...

hahaha. I love how #1 is excited that it's a new brad pitt movie, and not a new Malick film. I think he stumbled onto this website instead of OH NO THEY DIDN'T by mistake. but, yeah, I wasn't planning on catching BLACK SWAN in theater (Afronosky is hit or miss with me... though I do love Portman with all my heart), but this has changed my mind. Been waiting for any glimpse of Tree of Life for ages.
