TGB Episode 42: A Sense of Finality 2010 (Guest: Peter Sciretta)
by Tim Buel
December 31, 2010
On this week's very special episode of The Golden Briefcase, Tim, Jeremy and Alex are joined by special guest Peter Sciretta, owner and editor of SlashFilm, in order to go over their tops of this last year in film! The guys forego the usual top 10 countdowns and instead go through some categories that best outline some of the best (and worst) movies of 2010: Biggest Surprise/Disappointment, Best Actor/Actress, Best/Worst Film of the Year. We also mix in listener voicemails talking about their favorite films of the year including opinions from numerous good friends of the show. This is one of our very best episodes - download it now!
The Golden Briefcase is also broadcast LIVE on Tuesday nights starting at 7:30PM (PST). You can listen in via our Ustream page or by visiting our own live page right here on FS. The podcast is just as fun to listen to live while it's being recorded, with plenty of special guests, so I suggest you tune in the next time it records!

"Alex, why do you hate old people so much?" Priceless! Great episode, great year, and the passion for film that you, Tim, Peter, Jeremy, and every guest this year and most likely years to come just makes me want to do nothing but watch movies. It would be so surreal to actually be able to go through what you guys do on a daily basis, and for that, I love you guys so much! Can't wait for the next episode!

Peter, I totally agree with you. Trash Humpers wasn't even worth the VHS tape it was recorded on. I think the world should be shielded from Harmony Korine's mental illness.

Lotta fun...but man this was a workout:P Thanks for a really great episode guys. What a way to end the year!! Inception is a great film but I'm glad you focused on the true better film of the year. I'm impressed how like minded you all are about Black Swan and with all of your well articulated comments and positive opinions. I too loved it so very much. I liked it after leaving the theater but (btw, the wife and I are sooo glad we didn't see it with her parents) and it took me a few days to really hit me. Since then I can't stop thinking thinking just how amazing it was. Consider my Oscar bet sufficiently placed:) Anyway, Happy New Year to you all and here's to an awesome '11!! Take it easy guys!
