Toronto Interview: Let Me In's Wonderful Director Matt Reeves
by Alex Billington
October 1, 2010
This is the interview you've all been waiting for. Ever since it was first announced, some two years ago, that Cloverfield director Matt Reeves would be helming the "remake" of Let the Right One In re-titled Let Me In, I've been waiting to ask him questions - lots of them. But surprise, surprise, his film Let Me In is actually on par with the original, it's fantastic and beautiful in all of its own ways. And that only gave me more to ask him, more to discuss. It was at Comic-Con that I first saw Reeves speak about the film and I knew this was a guy I needed to talk to. So without further ado, I present my interview with Let Me In director Matt Reeves!
Watch my video interview from Toronto with Let Me In director Matt Reeves:
There was so much I wanted to ask Reeves, so I covered as much as I could in the time we were given. If you couldn't tell from those little aside moments about my questions and how much we could fit in, I didn't get to everything. I spoke to Matt after and we might have something special in the works soon, so stay tuned if you're curious to hear more about the film. I actually really did love Let Me In and as we talked about in our video review, I think Reeves is on his way to a remarkable career. There's so much about his directing that I think is wonderful and it was a true honor to talk with him about this movie. I hope you enjoyed watching!
Overture Films/Relativity Media will be bringing Matt Reeves' Let Me In to theaters starting October 1st.
