Tron: Evolution Trailer

Yep, it's E3 week, which means we'll probably be featuring some video game trailers. This one should appeal to movie fans, primarily because it's a video game based on the upcoming Tron Legacy movie. The game is called Tron: Evolution and was developed by Propaganda Games and Disney Interactive Studio. The best part is that I can't tell if this is footage from the game or the movie, but I think it's just a gorgeous cinematic made to introduce you to the program character you are in the game (or do you play as Sam Flynn?). If the action in the movie is as good (or better) than it is in this trailer, we're in for an amazing experience. Enjoy!

As this trailer is for a video game based on Tron Legacy, I'm including the following info about the movie - which you can see a trailer for here. Tron: Evolution will hit shelves on November 1st for Xbox and PS3.

Tron Legacy is directed by first-time filmmaker Joseph Kosinski. The screenplay was co-written by Adam Horowitz ("Lost"), Richard Jefferies (Blood Tide, Living Hell), Edward Kitsis ("Lost"), and the director of the original movie, Steven Lisberger. This first got the greenlight last year because this early teaser played well at Comic-Con. Disney is bringing Tron Legacy to theaters in 3D starting on December 17th, 2010.

That looks, like theres not a chance the game will run on my laptop. Hate that PC gaming requires such massive hardware requirements these days. I know i know, going to jus break down and buy a console soon. Anyway, looks awesome!

@9 I was thinking the same thing. If this is actual game footage, then fuck me running. I loved playing the Coin-Op version back in the ninety hundred and diggity six. http://www.dlmentertainment.com/?p=86288&pn=Tron+11+x+17+Movie+Poster+Style+B

sorry.. not awesome, trailers that do not show gameplay are idiotic and might as well be movie trailers. It makes it impossible for me to get exited for a game when I have no idea what its like.

@ 11, true. but game trailers are always like that, usually just consisting of the opening cutscene of the game. No actual gameplay footage there. Still the high quality rendering there assures me theres no way it'll run on my laptop. lol, As game gets closer to release Gamespot.com will have dozens of actual gameplay screenshots too.
