Watch: First Quick Teaser for Nicolas Cage's Drive Angry 3D!

Yesterday, Summit Entertainment unleashed their first look at Drive Angry 3D at Comic-Con, another new Nicolas Cage movie this time all about Cage on the run driving all kinds of badass vehicles in hopes of avenging his daughter's death. Ethan covered the presentation yesterday and seemed to mostly enjoy all of the footage (despite the unnecessary 3D) and thankfully we have a bit of footage to feature today (found via Bloody-Disgusting). It's a very short 30-second long teaser trailer that only gives us a quick look at some of the scenes and action and explosions that we'll find in Drive Angry 3D, but it looks pretty good. Fire it up!

Cage stars as Milton, a hardened felon who has broken out of hell for one last chance at redemption. Intent on stopping a vicious cult who murdered his daughter, he has 3 days to find them before they kill her baby.

Drive Angry 3D is directed by former editor Patrick Lussier, who has also previously directed Dracula 2000 (as well as Dracula II & III), White Noise 2: The Light and My Bloody Valentine 3D. The script was written by Lussier and writing partner Todd Farmer, of Jason X, The Messengers and also My Bloody Valentine 3D previously. Summit Entertainment is bringing Drive Angry 3D to theaters February 11th, 2011 next year.

3D seems a little much for this type of "I'll kill all of you" film. It could be good though.

nic is playing some guy that broke out of hell who tells someone hell is already walking the earth.......for some strange reason this is starting to remind me of that movie he also started in called ghost rider

I like the concept. I kind of reminds me of Gone in 60 seconds meets Ghost Rider. Incidentally they are both Nicolas Cage movies! I need to see a better trailer though. Being in 3D doesn't help me either!

That looks pretty cool. Unless those are the only cool scenes in the movie right there. Nic Cage looks like shit, but I'm pretty sure he's supposed to.

Shot on 3d is different than motion capture and doing a 3d rendering of your film.

Hahah, this looks ridiculously shit. And I liked Grindhouse (and I even like real grindhouse movies). Neither am I a Nicolas Cage hater (I love some of his roles, even one or two recent ones). But this was like a straight parody of a lame, boring "action" movie you saw a thousand times.
