The Horde

IFC Films has debuted a new official US trailer on YouTube for the release of The Horde, a French zombie film that we've been writing about since earlier this year. I'm sure a few of you probably already have a copy of this on DVD, but for those of us in the US who are zombie fans, this is really our first chance to check it out. I like the gritty style of horror/genre films coming out of France these days, so I'm interested in seeing this, but this trailer is pretty awful, especially the shitty dubbing (not to mention that cheesy voice over). I don't know why they did that, but if you're into zombie movies (or French flicks) then check it out anyway.

Watch the official US trailer for Yannick Dahan & Benjamin Rocher's The Horde:

The Horde, or just La Horde in French, is set on the outskirts of Paris. In order to avenge the murder of one of their own by a gang of ruthless gangsters, four corrupt cops go on a rampage inside a condemned building which serves as the mobsters' hideout. Trapped on the roof, the officers are about to be executed when the unimaginable occurs: hordes of bloodthirsty, cannibalistic undead creatures invade the building, savagely attacking everyone. Unexpected alliances are made when their lives are threatened by the unthinkable. The Horde is written/directed by first-time filmmakers Yannick Dahan & Benjamin Rocher and was released in France last year. IFC Films is debuting The Horde via On-Demand (it's available now) so check on your TV.

    Cool I love Zed movies!
  • deadpool72
    that is awesome.
  • Well, the subtitles are horrible, and the over acting is pretty bad, even for a B movie, I really don't think I want to see this. If you saw everything around you turn to zombie, I don't think teaming up would be a 2nd thought.

Hmmm...I just hope it's in French with subtitles. Some of the voices had me laughing a little too hard.

It looks like a pretty sweet zombie flick.

the trailer wasn't very impressive; but, it's got zombie killing - so i'll give it a rent.

Crappy trailer, seen better ones for La Horde then this one. Could be the horrible dubbing. Seems the Blu-Ray version runs 10-11 mins longer then the DVD? NOT gunna watch the dubbed version, omg this trailer was awful!!

Ive had this for a while now and quite enjoyed it. But then again i enjoy nearlly any zombie movie. It is also very violent lots of blood and guts the way a zombie flick should be!!!!! Worth checkin out 4 zombie fans.
  • I'm pretty sure hand to hand combat wouldn't work to well with zombies just sayin.

Any movie may be made look shite by way of dubbing. I'll give it a goo.

They do a lot of hand to hand combat in the movie :) (but it's not very good for your health) ... the movie has some pretty interesting dialogues and scenes but I think it not very good as a whole ... and none of the characters are likeable, you don't give a shit what happens to them, very bad in a survival movie ... (saw this in paris, it stayed one week in theaters only !!!!!)

@12 beavis, all bruce lee and chuck norris needs is the oversized captions from adam west's batman.
