Four Lions Trailer

Some of you guys have probably heard about this "terrorist comedy" before, but not everyone has, so I think it's finally time to feature a trailer. Chris Morris' Four Lions is a "whip-smart, laugh-out-loud comedy that illuminates the war on terror through satire and farce." This film proves that while terrorism may be about ideology, it's also about idiots. This is the first film that the Alamo Drafthouse's newly created distribution company is releasing this fall and it looks hilarious. I haven't seen this yet, but it's definitely something I'm going to see once it hits theaters. Even though it may sound a bit odd, I highly suggest watching this trailer!

Watch the official US trailer for Chris Morris' Four Lions:

A story of a group of British jihadists who push their abstract dreams of glory to the breaking point. As the wheels fly off, and their ideologies clash, what emerges is an emotionally engaging (and plausible) farce.

Four Lions is directed by British first-time feature filmmaker Christopher Morris, of mostly TV work on "Big Train", "Jam" and "Nathan Barley". The screenplay was co-written by Morris, Jesse Armstrong (Peep Show, In the Loop) and Sam Bain (Magicians). This premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was picked up by Drafthouse Films for US distribution. Four Lions will arrive in limited theaters starting on November 5th.

I watched it, it is an akward comedy about something that shouldn't be funny. The relationship of the man and wife and kid were the best part of the movie.

It sure is akward, but it´s still funny as hell for most parts anyways....

I only laughed at the end with the song. The rest of it was eh, guess I would have to see more to have any interest in it.

Akwarrrrrd......but funny. I just hope real terrorists don't happen to see it. Somehow I don't think they'll find it funny like the rest of us. They kinda strike as a humorless type of people.

@arjones - Indeed they are. But thats why they're fundamentalists.....This interview with Chris moriss on the movie is worth the read... "So Morris pushed his satire in a fresh direction and plunged himself into years of detailed research. He sifted through court transcripts, interviewed experts (and idiots) in the field, and came away with a stash of anecdotes that sound at least halfway as hilarious as anything that appears in the finished film. He tells me about the BNP hard man who "accidentally converted himself" after reading the Qur'an; about the fundamentalist who demanded that the world be run under a caliphate, yet freely admitted that he was unable to apply Sharia law in his own home because his wife wouldn't let him." http://www.guardian.co.uk/culture/2010/may/01/chris-morris-four-lions-interview

I laughed a little.... but I honestly feel that's it's a bit too soon considering ish like this happens everyday 🙁

I think its funny and hilarious, but I'm not sure how funny the reality of the situation truly is. I agree they are idiots and probably do things we would find hilariously stupid but they want you dead and to kill your family, hmm takes the humor right out.

This film is brilliantly funny, but pretty grim when it gets into it. Surprisingly enough it doesn't make light of the seriousness of terror attack... Essential viewing.
