Some of you guys have probably heard about this "terrorist comedy" before, but not everyone has, so I think it's finally time to feature a trailer. Chris Morris' Four Lions is a "whip-smart, laugh-out-loud comedy that illuminates the war on terror through satire and farce." This film proves that while terrorism may be about ideology, it's also about idiots. This is the first film that the Alamo Drafthouse's newly created distribution company is releasing this fall and it looks hilarious. I haven't seen this yet, but it's definitely something I'm going to see once it hits theaters. Even though it may sound a bit odd, I highly suggest watching this trailer!
Watch the official US trailer for Chris Morris' Four Lions:
A story of a group of British jihadists who push their abstract dreams of glory to the breaking point. As the wheels fly off, and their ideologies clash, what emerges is an emotionally engaging (and plausible) farce.
Four Lions is directed by British first-time feature filmmaker Christopher Morris, of mostly TV work on "Big Train", "Jam" and "Nathan Barley". The screenplay was co-written by Morris, Jesse Armstrong (Peep Show, In the Loop) and Sam Bain (Magicians). This premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was picked up by Drafthouse Films for US distribution. Four Lions will arrive in limited theaters starting on November 5th.
