Heartbreaker Trailer

IFC Films has debuted an official US trailer (via Yahoo) for French filmmaker Pascal Chaumeil's new film Heartbreaker starring Romain Duris and Vanessa Paradis (aka Johnny Depp's "girlfriend"). It's a French romantic comedy, kind of the opposite of Hitch, about a guy who breaks up relationships for a living and falls into one in the process. This is just a fun trailer that's amusing to watch, so don't get too excited by it. Though there are some great 80's song in it, and I love how the French always work in movies as much as possible. Chaumeil is also a protégé of Luc Besson, having work as second unit director on a few of his films.

Alex (Romain Duris) and his sister run a business designed to break up relationships. They are hired by a rich man to break up the wedding of his daughter. The only problem is they only have one week to end it.

Heartbreaker is directed by French filmmaker Pascal Chaumeil, who has directed various French TV shows and features before and was also a second unit director for Luc Besson on Leon, Fifth Element and Joan of Arc previously. The screenplay was co-written by French writers Laurent Zeitoun, Jeremy Doner and Yohan Gromb. IFC Films is bringing Heartbreaker to limited US theaters starting September 10th next month.

looks cute.

Movie might be okay, but American announcer is horrible and cliched. At least they had French dialogue, though, so many trailers for foreign films avoid mentioning they're in another language.

well, if you've seen this trailer, you've seen the movie...I know because I saw it in French last month and it's the whole movie packed .lolll You need to leave space for some surprises The trailer is too long and yes the voice over is ridiculous and does not fit! The movie is awesome but the US marketers destroyed it! Don't waste your money on it if you've watched this trailer

That's the whole movie packed in just over There should be some space for surprises I saw the movie in French last month and it is awesome The voice over is ridiculous and does not do it justice at all! I'm sorry but if you've watched this trailer, you shouldn't waste your time on the ticket itself as even the final scenes are there.loll! Poor North American marketing.!! You should better wait for the remake as the rights have already been snapped I heard

Looks entertaining but I don't think I can sit through the movie without staring at Depp's teeth. 🙁

Saw it in Paris last spring. It was amazing! Very funny even though I only understood about half of it.
