October 21, 2010
Roadside Attractions has debuted a saucy new red band trailer for Glenn Ficarra & John Requa's I Love You Phillip Morris, the independent comedy starring Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor as gay lovers who meet in prison. Obviously this trailer ain't red band because of any violence, so be prepared with that in mind going in, as there's one scene that will definitely catch you off guard at the start. Other than that, this is actually a great film, I say it's worth seeing if you found this trailer the least bit enjoyable, as this gives us a more accurate taste of what the film is like. I Love You Phillip Morris finally hits theaters thid December.
Watch the red band trailer for Glenn Ficarra & John Requa's I Love You Phillip Morris:
When Steve Russell turns to cons and fraud to allow him to change his lifestyle, his subsequent stay in the state penitentiary results in his meeting the love of his life, a sensitive fellow inmate named Phillip Morris.
I Love You Phillip Morris is both written and directed by first-time feature filmmakers Glenn Ficarra and John Requa, who previously wrote the screenplays for Cats & Dogs, Bad Santa, and Bad News Bears. The film is based on Steven McVicker's book of the same name. This premiered at the Sundance Film Festival back in 2009 and is finally arriving in limited theaters thanks to Roadside Attractions on December 3rd.
