Watch This: Laurence Fishburne's New Predators Featurette!

"He's definitely hard to kill." Unleashed on the official website today is the brand new featurette for Robert Rodriguez and Nimród Antal's Predators that focuses on the character of Noland played by Laurence Fishburne. As much as I love Adrien Brody and Danny Trejo, it was Fishburne whose casting in this movie totally changed my opinion and made me a lot more excited for it. And hearing more about his character in this featurette only makes me more pumped. Fox has been releasing these for every character in the movie and I think they're doing an amazing job of turning fans into believers. Bring on Predators this summer!

Predators is being directed by Nimród Antal, of Kontroll, Vacancy, and Armored previously. The screenplay was co-written by newcomers Michael Finch and Alex Litvak and is based on early draft written years ago by producer Robert Rodriguez, who also worked with them on the script. This is a reboot of the Predator series created by Jim & John Thomas and directed by John McTiernan in 1987. We're not sure what the actual plot is, but all we need to know is that it's about a bunch of badass elite warriors who fight a bunch of predators out in the jungle. 20th Century Fox is bringing Predators to theaters worldwide on July 7th this summer.

What I absolutely love about these character featurettes is they barely give away new material while keeping us intrigued, which is so unlike what X-Men Origins: Wolverine did. Those character featurettes gave away some of the best moments of the film (for example-pretty much the whole wade wilson scene). It's good to know that someone knows how to do it right.

Looking forward to this film and happy with the casting, but I do wish Laurence Fishburne would have trimmed down for this role... or being a fat scavenger is part of the role.

#4 - I can't run 'em all, had to pick and choose! Plus, I only started getting into them with Danny Trejo, it would be odd to backtrack to the rest at this point.

What was Fishburne's character though? A gulf war vet? ex-navy seal? what?

Fishburne is a great asset to this movie.
