Watch This: Official Trailer for After.Life with Ricci & Neeson

Anchor Bay has debuted the official trailer (via Apple) for their upcoming thriller After.Life starring Liam Neeson, Christina Ricci and Justin Long. The concept for this is pretty damn unique and it's easy to get from watching the trailer, so I won't say much so you can enjoy the reveal. There's some creepy necrophilia style sexuality with Ricci too, which hopefully doesn't interest anyone, but it's still in there. If I had to make a quick comparison, this looks like a dark intense look at the life/afterlife balance as also seen in The Lovely Bones. I'm actually kind of interested in checking this out, mainly because of Neeson. What about you?

A young woman (Christina Ricci) caught between life and death wakes up to meet a funeral director (Liam Neeson) who appears to have the gift of transitioning the dead, but might be intent on burying her alive.

After.Life is both written and directed and by Polish filmmaker and NYU Film School graduate Agnieszka Wojtowicz-Vosloo, of only the award winning 2001 short Pâté previously. The screenplay was co-written by Wojtowicz, her husband Paul Vosloo, and Jakub Korolczuk. This first premiered at the AFI Film Festival last year. Anchor Bay Films will be bringing After.Life to very limited theaters starting on April 9th this spring.

liam neeson is good in anything and ricci (while not the best) is better than most actresses today. the trailer looks great - creepy, atmospheric, suspenseful and good acting. it's a definite watch for me.

Wow, I never would have thought that I'd say this but I can not stand Neesons voice in that trailer. I think the movie looks really stupid also not a fan of Ricci or Long.

Yeah I am NOT sold! Sure what guy is not into Christina Ricci...but her gratuitously running around in the trailer barefoot, with a thin, silk, red dress on and no bra is too manipulative for me to take it seriously. And you know a movie like this will have a crappy ending as movies like this tend to have. So I am not there. If I want to watch a movie just to drool over Christina, I'll watch Black Snake Moan.

I certainly like the imagery and the stark coloring with the splashes of color. Looks to be decent. I'll give ti a chance because I like Liam Neeson and it's been a while since I've seen anything with Ricci.

Love the trailer. The film looks beautiful and very creepy. Don't agree with you Jay. I don't think this movie is like other crappy genre pics, it looks intelligent and probably doesn't need a cliched twist at the end. I'll check this one out in theaters.

This movie was actually shot in 25 days, that's quick. Christina Ricci replaced Cate Bosworth for the leading role of Anna, also, the movie's producer actually appears in the movie as a security guard at some point.

The whole thing is very amateurish looking. And if it's not, then that's one of the worst trailers I've ever seen. But I agree with DoomCanoe, wish I had a dime everytime they said "not dead".

I thought it looked awesome. I'm totally down for an hour or so of life/afterlife mind games. I especially dig Liam Neeson being very creepy in that mildly psychopathic kinda way. I thought the look of it was very nice too - distinctive - or at the very least not like every other generic horroresque genre movie.

There is a lot of the film Mirrors in the Storyline here Liam Neeson is always agood watch and Christina Ricci going round in a skimppy Red undergarment dosn't sell me this film. hope for a better trailer.

this movie is all kinds of dead. it looks so poorly-directed,from the obvious choice of a red gown in a darkened house,or christina ricci as a half-dead girl.i hope this turns out to be a manically stupid but still enjoyable bad movie ie OBSESSED.

The last time I was scared or creeped out was with Saw or maybe Hostel. From this trailer it does neither for me.

The problem is with a major star, straight away you know there's no nipples. The PC reviewer is a homo. Necrophilier and sexuality is what Ricci is all about. Sadly sanitised by Hollywood. She shoukld do independents and bring out her true creativity.
