You may not know Wanye McClammy by name, but you likely know his work directing Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel's respective viral videos "I'm Fucking Matt Damon" and "I'm Fucking Ben Affleck." Now THR reports he is looking to make his feature film debut with Desperados, a comedy being developed as a potential starring vehicle for Isla Fisher (Wedding Crashers, Hot Rod). The story follows a girl who sends an indignant email to her new boyfriend, who's gone silent after they had sex, only to discover he's comatose in a Mexican hospital. So she races for the border with her friends to intercept the email before he recovers.
Though a quick phone call to the hospital to have someone delete the e-mail for her might seem like a better idea, I'm sure they'll cover their bases by making the employees of the hospital unable to speak English. This is being pitched as a female version of The Hangover, because I'm sure these "Desperados" will have a wild ride down to Mexico. Surely there will be plenty of wacky road trip hijinks. This doesn't exactly sound like the most promising comedy, but Fisher is pretty easy on the eyes (see above), and if McClammy can make a movie even close to the hilarity of those viral videos, it could turn out somewhat decent. Only time will tell.
